Simple hotel with no fuzz. Personal feeling of a "family" driven business. In this type of hotel the managers/owners do their very best to make you comfortable. And they do. Nothing lacks, really. You have a room with a very comfortable bed. "Bar" (non-alcoholic) with self service available in the reception. No around the clock receptionist. Actually the reception is manned only in the mornings until about lunchtime. But you can always call the managers and get help for whatever is your need. They answer quite promptly. As mentioned, beds are very comfy. Breakfast just fine. No scrambled eggs (but boiled eggs) and no bacon, but it did not matter: fine assortment of charceturies, swedish herring, cheese, fruit, jams and so on... The personal touch is what makes this hotel. You know the feeling: managers care about your stay. Compared to the other hotels in Ljungby, Linnea stands out for being just as good, but whith a "small-scale" environment that attract - at least me - to be a good or better choice. The entrance with the reception also provides for a small lounge and continues to a breakfast room. Coffee is available for free in the small "coffee room" in the lounge. Nice touch! Some remarks though: The single rooms with private bath are located "sous-sol" - half a stair down. The rooms are facing the rather busy street and the windows are small and high up towards the ceiling. And are not openable. And there is no active ventilation in the room.... I had a good nights sleep, but beware of these conditions if you are sensitive to ventilation and noise from the street. Very affordable, Linnea poses as a good competitor to Terazza and Best Western in town.
