Very old hotel. Comfortable rooms but the towels and some chipped walls and furniture do not correspond to a five star. They asked me for a taxi to go to the port and in the end a person from the hotel appeared who then made me change cars at the entrance of the port and took me to a place that was not charging me 25 euros. He wanted to charge me more to take me to the right place... The hotel is responsible for this because the initial car was owned by a person from the hotel

The palace is an historical building and it is a bit dated. Our room was clean and large enough, with plenty of storage, but unfortunately kind of dark. An additional set of spotlights would be welcome. The safe didn't work and I did not ask to have it fixed. The bathroom had both a tub and a shower, but it suffered from the usual hotel bathroom issue of insufficient light. I don't know why most hotel bathrooms (even in 5 stars) are so dark. Stranger thing was the lack of a soap rack inside the shower. Basically, you had to put your toiletries on the floor, which was uncomfortable. Toiletries were provided very generously and so was tea and coffee, but no water. We visited the spa twice. It's an OK area, with a nice underground, warm pool and jacuzzis but rather grotty sauna and relax rooms (kind of dark and coldish). Tea and fresh snacks are available for the guests. We had drinks on the fifth floor where you can enjoy the great view on the bay. We saw the roof pool which is in need of refurbishing, just like the wooden deck, peeling and cracking here and there. The staff was very professional, polite and efficient, especially Andrea who gave us many tips. On the whole it was a good experience, but the hotel is definitely in need of some repairs and maintenance. As of today it is more a 4 stars than 5.

Hotiday - Vermarktung einiger Zimmer (meist älter nicht die beste Etage im Hotel) so auch in Livorno. Dort sind die Zimmer im Grand Hitel Palazzo für uns reserviert gewesen. Wir waren skeptisch bei der Buchung, ob den wirklich Zimmer für uns reserviert sind und die auch wissen das wir für den TO- Preis auch ein Frühstück dabei haben. Freundlicher Empfang, schönes Zimmer mit bequemen Doppelbett(zwei Matratzen so wir wir es mögen) und sepater Toilette und großen Bad. Das Bad hatte in den Fugen Schimmel und ist modern, müsste aber einem Upgrad bekommen. Klimaanlage ging perfekt. Die Zimmer liegen in Zwischengeschoss mit kleineren Fenstern. Dies waren sicher früherer die für die Dienstboden der Reisenden. Frühstück war eines der besten in Italien. Lachs, Sekt, Eierspeisen , div. Kuchen, frisches Obst, usw. alles da. Es ist halt ein altes mit Charm behaftetes Grandhotel mit hohen Räumen und Säule. Wer denkt man gekommt die Top Zimmer des Hauses für den Preis den Hotiday anbietet der ist unrealistisch. Wer haber ein TOP- Preis/Leistungsverhältnis zu schätzen weiß, ist hier Richtig. Wir sind positiv überrascht worden.

My wife and I stayed one night due to an emergency when we had to disembark from a cruise ship docked nearby. The front desk manager, Gabriel, was exceptionally helpful with our emergency arrangements, including directions to the train station, train schedules, taxis, and hotel suggestions and booking at our next destination. Our room was very clean, spacious, and the included breakfast was very good. Gabriel at the front desk was polite, efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and very sympathetic to our emergency situation. He rates 5-stars!

Charming boutique hotel in a great location. It’s in the historic “Venezia Nuova” district, right next to a picturesque canal and surrounded by restaurants. In fact, the building itself was a merchants’ home in the 1600s, beautifully renovated in 2018 with all the modern luxuries you might want. We had a city-view suite looking out on the canals — worth it for the view! Spacious bedroom and living room, full kitchen, and bathroom. Good shower and firm mattress. Bathrobes and large, plush towels. There’s an on-site gym, sauna, and pool, a self-service washing machine, and bikes that you can borrow. Excellent breakfast buffet. BUT I really need to give a shout out to the helpful staff and owner, Barbara. They had called a driver to take us to the train station and when he didn’t show up on time, Barbara hopped in her car and drive us there herself! You can’t get more personal and helpful than that. It’s only a few minutes walk to all the sites of the old city, including canal boat tours, the Fortezza Vecchia, and the Quattro Mori statue. Near the cruise terminal too. Great location to stroll around.

In the historical centre, in the wonderful “Venezia”, a suggestive and fascinating place! Very nice, careful in details and very clean! With a gentle staff and available for instructions and advice! The family room had the right space, while maintaining its elegance! I had a very comfortable bed, even the one-bed. The air conditioning was perfect in view of the period. The bathroom supplies were perfect, with the small hydrating soaps!!! Details that did not escape in the whole! Delightful breakfast, the cornets disintegrated in the mouth! It was an unforgettable experience that made our visit to Livorno even more beautiful! Let's hope to come back soon!!
