Popular Livingstone 4-star Hotels

A few days before Christmas, I stayed here with my husband for two nights. The environment is first-rate, and the service is generally worse than Southeast Asia and slightly worse than the equivalent hotels in African countries. When I left the house in the morning, a cleaning sign was hung up. I returned to the house more than three in the afternoon and did n’t clean it. I did n’t clean it until I went back at night. Breakfast was okay, the British and American breakfasts were similar. It was ok, but there was no freshly squeezed juice, and the beverage felt like concentrated juice and water. Turned up turn-down service at night, and a small snack was good. The environment is particularly good. There are monkeys in the yard. They are not as fierce as those in China. They are not strong and do not actively attack people. The perimeter of the hotel is the safari park. After eating Chinese food with my husband for the first night, I went back to the hotel and saw a wild boar about 30 meters away from the hotel entrance. The big window facing the river in the room facing the river is very quiet. It is very comfortable to open the window in the morning and watch the river view lying on the bed. The quilt is a duvet, but the sheet cover is not soft and comfortable enough, which may be a common problem in African countries. Overall it is worth living.

Myself and my wife stayed here for 3 days/2nights The manager was very accessible and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Place is very clean with good temperature water though pressure isn't very high. Location is somewhat off-road but overall quite close to town and the falls. Breakfast is provided and we enjoyed our breakfast every morning. We didn't make use of the pool, and i don't think at that point it was well maintained. We travelled there November/December 2020 at which time, tourism was heavily down due to COVID. Unfortunately, if you need wifi, this was a challenge for us at the time we were there. I would recommend statying here as it is a quite, peaceful and safe place. Bed is comfy and nice though facilities are generally average. There is AC that works. Ours was making a lot of noise though so we tried not to have it on all night but used to keep room very cool then go to bed. For the price you pay, this is a good place to stay though our budget, travelling from UK, may be different to locals.

You are the best hotel and resort area I have ever traveled to. You must stay in this hotel at the Great Falls. Yes, you can enter for free and unlimited times. The Falls Park is free and visa-free. You can travel to Zimbabwe for free. It is very convenient to see the moon rainbow and the double rainbow. , The room is large and comfortable, with aboriginal style

Great hotel! It's more than a backpackers hostel! Great management a wonderful helpful staff Joy and Miriam and Mathew did a great job! Lovely rooms with AC. Good bathrooms. Wonderful quiet garden with pool. Well stocked bar. Safe parking. Self storage kitchen with cooking equipment. Great outdoor Fire pit and BBQ facility. Good breakfast. A small mall opposite with very well stocked supermarket and banks and currency exchange. Wish I could've stayed longer!

We arrived as the world was shutting down for Covid 19 pandemic! Only able to stay for 5 sleeps as ”return home” orders were issued ! This accommodation was perfect! We could listen to the lions roar across the river, the hippos mutter just up from our cabin and we could see the elephants come to the river for a bath! Shade trees, beautiful grounds, green and lush and well cared for. Birding the property was fun as we saw birds unique to us. The staff were accommodating, the food excellent and the cabins with the outdoor table, microwave and fridge was perfect. The sunset cruise with snacks and drinks highlighted the many birds and mammals of the Zambezi River. Alfred our guide described the river(rising), the trees, the baboons, etc. The local Symonga Village women had useful crafts to sell. The wifi was excellent! The owners were willing to help us stay and ride out the pandemic! So sad to leave!

Our family of 4 adults really enjoyed this beautiful hotel, it was one of the highlights of our trip! There are plenty of staff and they are willing to help and almost always provide friendly greetings. Service was overall quite good. The food was wonderful (we ate at Kubu, The Old Drift and the Travellers Bar). We spent time in the pool and received quick drink service there also (they don't serve food there due to monkeys). The photos of the resort are quite accurate - the animals are plentiful and it is quite a delight to see them walking around. The rooms area little smaller than some similar resorts although are well appointed with several small wonderful touches. The bathrooms are adequate though for a resort of this calibre and price point, they could do with a renovation. Our only comment would be the music played throughout the resort was early 2000's North American pop music. While familiar to all of us, we would have really enjoyed to hear some African music of any genre - pop, folk, etc. instead. Overall though, would recommend!

Very good and efficient service. Good food but i suggest a frequent change in menu so that someone who spends over a week at the hotel will not have to eat almost the same food everyday. other wise no complaints

Excellent riverside room and a wonderful resort overall. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. The gardens and surroundings in the resort are well maintained. The swimming pool is a great place to relax on a sunny afternoon, the restaurant and bar has excellent food refreshing drinks. It gets quite busy on the weekend and with big groups, but you can see why once you experience the facilities. Apart from the resort it's also home to safpar, they have many different options for travel along the zambezi and falls. We chose the river float, game drive and sunset cruise combo (Around $180) and it was totally worth it! Will definitely stop by again next time I'm in town.
