I can't praise Sindabezi enough, and I don't see how anywhere else in Vic Falls can possibly be better. Gorgeous location on an island, surrounded by the mighty Zambesi river, from where we spotted hippos, elephants, giraffe, waterbuck, impala and a host of fascinating birdlife without leaving the deck! The service, the food and beverages, accommodation are all excellent. The staff are a special highlight - you are appointed a valet for the duration of your stay and a guide for your activities. Both were brilliant and quickly became trusted friends. The resort manager was highly attentive, competent, and caring. If you're going in winter, bring a warm layer for the early mornings and sitting around the camp fire in the evenings, but don't worry about getting cold in the open-setting chalets at night as you'll be well wrapped up in thick duvets including hot water bottles! The days are warm-to-hot and t-shirts are fine. The activities are fantastic - I suggest doing at least one a day. We started with a sunrise boat trip on the first day, toured the Vic Falls next day, and ended our trip with a safari game drive where a family of elephants came right up to our vehicle. The tour of the local village was a highlight.

Just wrapped up a family vacation to Africa. Our first camp was Sindabezi Island. WOW! What a way to start the trip; a small island in the middle of the Zambezi River. There was wildlife everywhere you looked, and the sounds of the hippos is something I'll never forget. The entire staff was amazing, as were the accommodations and the food. So much more than I imagined, especially with the remote location. For our group it turned out to be the ideal first step in our two week, four camp trip. We were able to combine the perfect mix of game drives and river cruising, along with a day to visit Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwe side.

We had a fantastic stay in Sindabezi, we stayed for 2 nights but wished we had stayed longer. The power and beauty of the river is amazing. The staff were fantastic and really went the extra mile to make our stay special.

If I could, I would give the place 100/5. This place is a paradise. Not only is the location and chalets just perfect, its their staff that make your stay go from 5/5 to 100/5. I would like specially thank our guide Sililo for showing us the amazing things, Sylvester for finding beautiful spots for our lunch and drinks and for being hands on, Paul for spoiling us with michelin level meals - Indian veg that he made for us Chiyeso for greeting us and managing our stay so well. These guys are amazing and have such attention to detail, we were just awestruck. The place is so private and intimate that you feel like at home. The chalets and the view is just mesmerizing. We stayed for 2 nights but wish we booked for 3. There are so many activities to do, some of them we did : sunset cruise, angels pool, game drive, victoria falls. I might just go back here

From the moment you arrive you realise Sindabezi is special. The “African massage” from the highway to the river over the unmade road is well worth it. The short boat trip on the river and the welcome by Chiyeso and the staff on arrival was magical. From the surprise private trip to another island for drinks at sunset or lunch for two in the middle of the Zambezi watching the animals to sitting round the campfire in the evenings with other guests and staff sharing experiences and getting to know each other, these were all very special memories. Our maid Memory could not have been more helpful. Our room overlooking the river was amazing and the outside hot bath prepared by Memory was superb. The game drives were also incredible. Maybin, our guide, was so helpful both on the sunset river tour where we saw elephants, hippos and crocodiles and the land based drives where we saw sow much more, the highlight had to be walking with the White Rhinos which are protected 24/7 by armed guards who walked with us and told us about them. The food was so good, Joe, the chef could run a 5* restaurant in London. I could write more but it was just an amazing place to stay and we would certainly go back again. To all of you including Chipotle and Sylvester thank you so much.

This island camp exceeded all my expectations. What a beautifully serene getaway retreat ! We stayed in the sunrise Chalet. The experience of waking up to the sunrise, with birds singing in the trees was unmatched. The food was amazing . Many compliments to chef Joe, who ensured that we were served the most delectable meals during our three day stay. Our butler, Memory, also delivered excellent service. Zimba, our tour guide, enlightened us with her extensive knowledge of her country during our trip to the Victoria Falls. Overall, it was an amazing experience, if you’re contemplating staying here , just do it! You won’t regret :) Yours Truly, Caribbean girl, crossing off her bucket list item of visiting her homeland.
