Murray Hotel

This is more than just a hotel room, it's an experience. The rooms were intriguingly decorated in Western theme. My room was kitted with Winter skiing pictures from the past. Thoughtful little amenities (toothpaste, two packs of drip coffee, postcard from old Livingston...). And everything was spotless. Bed was super comfy; shower was great. The air conditioner was over the bed and totally soundless. (Why can't other hotels have soundless air conditioners?) If you wanted, you could have made it snow in the room, the air conditioner was so efficient. Staff were super friendly and clearly enjoyed working there and sharing such a unique hotel with guests. All around the hotel are memorabilia - it's like a museum. On the third floor, there is access to an outside patio which provides a view of the mountains and Livingston proper. Yes, you do hear the trains at night. The hotel is right across from the main station. That is part of its charm. Possibly a room facing the back, away from the station might be a little less noisy. But you can hear the trains anywhere in Livingston; it is a railroad town. They have several different types of rooms, each decorated differently. Definitely recommend a stay.

Wow! Gorgeous vintage hotel. The staff was excellant at communicating the details about the area. The room was spotless! All the original aspects of the hotel that Had a suite and everything I needed was provided. The food was excellant - made from scratch kitchen. Perfect place to stay in Livingston

The Murray is truly one of my favorite hotels in the west. The only thing that isn’t great is the parking options. The ease of walking to everything, great bars, and excellent restaurants make up for it.

The room was cozy and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay.

Always a wonderful place to stay when I am in town.
