Villa Caribe is a nice hotel in a central location in the town of Livingston. We stayed in a standard room with a balcony overlooking the pool and water. It was clean and well taken care of. The shelves in the room are very convenient for travelers' items. The breakfast was excellent. We loved the little bar at the entrance of the hotel and spent a lot of time there - hi to Hazel and Tamara!! All the staff at the hotel were excellent. There is a big pool at the hotel and a small beach area with hammocks. There could be more shade at the pool area as the sun is very hot. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Vraiment pas terrible. Un hôtel plus que défraîchi, les chambres sont dans leur jus, confort minimal. La piscine date des années 80, aurait bien besoin d’être refaite. L’hôtel donne une impression de bidonville amélioré. Même la tôle ondulée n’a pas ete repeinte depuis des années. Quant au personnel de la réception, il est pas du tout sympathique. L’image de l’hôtel dans les Caraïbes est loin de la réalité!

Un hôtel dont les vues depuis les chambres sont fabuleuses. On s'endort et on se réveille avec la mer et les cocotiers en profitant des balcons privatifs. Il faut tout de même savoir que l'hôtel reçoit beaucoup de groupes avec du coup des buffets et parfois des animations, ce qui peut déplaire. Très bien situé pour découvrir Livingstone à pied.

Great property with an amazing Pool ! Restaurant had great food and service! Clean rooms and a fantastic view Only thing that needs improvement is the reception staff they were rude and less than helpful. Even with my wife being a native Spanish speaker

Ubicado en el encantador Livingston, un destino al que solo se accede en barco. Partimos de Río Dulce en una embarcación que avanza tan rápido como su motor lo permite, ya que la oscuridad está próxima. Inicialmente cruzamos un lago donde el viento agitaba ligeramente el agua y navegamos hasta la entrada al río, donde la navegación es más tranquila y la embarcación nos deja en el muelle del mismo hotel, con vistas al mar Caribe. Se accede a la recepción a través de un conjunto de escaleras que luego llevan a las habitaciones. Afortunadamente, un servicio amable y eficiente nos ayuda a subir los escalones. Nos asignan un bungalow con vistas espectaculares del mar y el muelle del hotel. Aunque la habitación no es muy espaciosa, es muy limpia y ordenada. El baño, al igual que el resto del establecimiento, tiene un estilo rústico y es ventilado y cómodo. La conexión wifi en todo el hotel es excelente. Tanto la cena como el desayuno se sirven en la mesa, con la opción de elegir el desayuno que más nos guste. La ubicación es ideal para pasear por el pueblo o hacer excursiones desde el propio hotel, siempre en barco. Es un destino recomendable para desconectar unos días de la rutina.

C'est l'hôte ou il faut être dans la petite ville nonchalante de Livingston. L hôtel en plein centre est magnifique. Les bungalows en particulier donnent sur la mer. Piscine très grande et chauffée. Très bon restaurant. Seule déception le petit déjeuner.

Que dire de cet hôtel si ce n'est que c'est certainement le meilleur hôtel de Livingstone sans pour autant que cela fasse de lui un bon hôtel. L'hôtel est composé d'un bâtiment principal avec des chambres équipées de balcon avec vue mer et de bungalows avec terrasse ou balcon, équivalent à des "suites", dont certains masquent la vue mer à certaines chambres de l'hôtel.... Il est équipé d'une grande piscine, quasiment sans ombre et sans parasol disponible, d'un bar et d'un restaurant. Ce dernier est d'ailleurs un des points positifs de l'hôtel : joli cadre sous une immense paillotte, belle carte, bons produits et accueil irréprochable. L'hôtel mériterait quelques investissements pour le remettre à niveau. L'entretien laisse un peu à désirer. Cela se remarque particulièrement au niveau de la piscine. L'accueil reste correct mais sans plus. Quelques manques et oublis assez régulièrement. Agréablement surpris à mon arrivée, je repars un peu déçu après y avoir passé 3 nuits car ce n'est pas un hôtel où "on peut profiter du temps qui passe". Maintenant, vous n'aurez pas beaucoup d'autres choix si vous voulez être dans le cœur de Livingston.

Stayed for one night on the way from Copan to Tikal. The room was lovely and the views spectacular. English is not widely spoken and it appears to be for Guatemalans holidaying in their own country rather than international tourists, if you speak Spanish it’s five stars though

J'ai passé deux nuits dans cet hôtel qui est très bien situé. Les chambres sont confortables, propres et avec balcon. Le jardin est un pur bonheur avec tous ces oiseaux qui gravitent autour. Très grande et belle piscine. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas assez de transats vu le nombre de chambres...... La cuisine en revanche n'est pas bonne. Heureusement il y a d'autres restaurants en ville.
