Booking process was a complicated joke. Once you pay youre meant to create a 'portal' as the hotel is basically unmanned. Refused to do that as unnecessary. Atrocious experience. Water pouring through ceiling in bedroom-staff offered a bucket! Refused to stay as was dangerous. Hardly any staff available and unmanned at night. Offered a horrible bedroom in staff accommodation around back of hotel! Staff were unhelpful and clearly irritated that I was unhappy. Do not stay here. Left and went to Mecure Livingston which was excellent

Lovely place in a beautiful setting. Will be nice place to sit out in the summer. We Even saw a baby deer in the gardens. Very clean and fresh decor. Service was first class. Not a very extensive menu and limited for vegetarians but couldn’t fault our food…..was really fresh and tasty.

Excellent food and friendly, professional service in a beautiful setting. The facilities were clean and of a very high standard. Visited for a family birthday and we received a very warm welcome. Sitting by the log fire added to the experience. I would highly recommend it.

This little gem of a hotel is tucked into a quiet area just a few minutes walk from the train station. The staff was so kind and helpful. The food at the on site restaurant was amazing, the locals in the bar were friendly, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. There was a large parking lot and local trails for walking. We got our laundry done for a very reasonable price, left folded/hung in our room. Highly recommend!

The property is located outside of the city center but not a problem if you have a car. We stayed in a 2-br cottage and the room was warm and comfortable.

Loved the Bankton. Room was clean, beds comfy and coffee machine was just what was needed. Bathroom was lovely. Lunch and dinner in the bistro were amazing, food was delicious. Staff were wonderful and attentive, typical of a family run business, even though Saturday was very busy. Continental breakfast was in a bag in a wee room downstairs. Took it back upstairs to the room, Granola pot was lovely. Would definitely return.

Fantastic property. The room was absolutely spotless, probably the cleanest hotel room I have ever seen. The staff were very nice, and the area around the hotel was quiet and safe. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
