We just came to visit some friends and tried to have a dinner in one evening. It seems that the manager has some atitude problems and the term of hospitality industry is not something which she knows or understands. So if you wish to fell like in the army and that you have paid for nothing go ahead and book Lanz Hotel.

Very nice hotel close to the center of Livigno. The hotel rooms correspond to a 3-star hotel, everything you need is available. The dinner was very delicious, we were pleasantly surprised by the choice, and it was beautifully served. For breakfast, very delicious coffee and divine croissants. You can definitely eat enough and go enjoy the beautiful mountains. We can definitely recommend this hotel!!

The hotel was clean but in need of updating, The room was a reasonable size for 2 and warm but dated and the bedding could certainly benefit from an upgrade. Not sure what the walls are made of but the noise from the corridor and adjoining rooms could be heard clearly, including toilet flushing throughout the night. The food was ok consisting of a salad buffet and a choice of 3 starters and 3 mains selected the previous night. The salad was very good but if you arrived 20mins after the restaurant opens there is often not a lot left and didn’t seem too be topped up. all drinks including tap water was chargeable. Breakfast is a continental style with some warm options, but limited to one hot drink any additional ones needed to be paid for including hot water. The ski room was small and full when we visited, if you visited at busy times you had to wait for people to move in order to get your things and only 2 chairs to use to put your boots on. We had an early departure only to find that the lift was disabled and we had to carry our big bags down 3 flights of stairs to exit out the back ski Entrance. The bus stop for the ski busses is right outside on the road, 2 of the free busses stop here for the slopes but at busy times there is no guarantee you will get on them and have to wait for the next one.

The hotel was clean & we had no problems at all, the breakfasts were continental with bacon, scrambled & hard boiled eggs which could of be hotter on some days but the food was fine, hot & cold drinks available, evening meals were a buffet of salad etc & then you had a choice of 2 meals from a menu of 8 different dishes which you would choose the night before & then a choice of deserts, all I can say is the food in the evening was wonderful as were the staff in the restaurant, special shout out to Erma not sure if it’s a correct spelling. We went with Crystal & the ski hire shop was 5 mins away around the corner & we left are skis by lift 29 which cost only €30 for 6 days & was only a 5 min walk from the hotel which meant we didn’t have to walk in ski boots or wait for the buses, lots to do in Livigno & would recommend for skiing.

starting from the car park: whoever arrives first parks, the others have to find parking elsewhere. few parking spaces. Cushions on the external sofas worn and dirty. Reception without any indication of breakfast and dinner times. It is not true that the reception is 24 hours a day. We left the hotel at 6.30 in the morning the exit doors were closed and the lift closed. three floors with suitcases on the stairs - no one had told us we had to exit through the security door on floor -1 and no possibility of accessing the reception (20 August 2023) Waiter service: NOT trained for their duties. Extra drinks too expensive, wine and water at exaggerated prices. Television in the room: shame that it is positioned at a height of 2 meters and diagonally to the bed. Bathroom linen: for the first 4 days (out of 7 of the stay) the linen was certainly not of good quality (both towels and bath mat were very worn) Kitchen: we hoped there would be options for drinks with local Valtellina products. Only 1 day they offered pizzoccheri. Never bresaola/cheeses or other Valtellina products. On pizzoccheri day there is no buffet! why:answer: because there are pizzoccheri!!! how sad!! What else can I say, we certainly won't go back and won't even recommend it.

I stayed from New Year's Eve at the Epiphany with my wife and children. The hotel is modern and comfortable. The breakfast is not rich but the dinner is of good quality. The staff are very welcoming. Particular credit to Rima and Lello who satisfied all our requests and always offered a professional service. A round of applause to Mr. Margherita (owner) who has always been extremely helpful and kind towards us (one morning she took us to the slopes with the ski pass forgotten in the hotel). We hope to see you soon!
