Temple Court Cavern Quarter Apartments by Happy Days

If you like trying to sleep while feeling like you’re in the middle of a nightclub this place is just for you! Booked for a hen do with ages ranging from 25-60+. We decided to go to bed at around midnight as we had a brunch booked for the next day. The music from the club across the street was very loud and we were all struggling to sleep but we knew it closed at around 3am so we just stirred in bed till it turned off. You’re probably thinking 3am isn’t a bad time to go to sleep in a hen do, right? WRONG - the ‘gentlemen’s club’ below us then started with the music and that didn’t go off till 5:30am!!! The videos do not do justice of how loud it was all of the beds were shaking and the bass was headache inducing. We hoped the worries with this place would stop there but unfortunately not. We all needed a shower to wash away the terrible nights sleep and the choice was either to get 3rd degree burns from one shower or freeze you bits off in the other. If you are so blessed to stay in this apartment you will be glad to know that you are CONSTANTLY being called over the intercom as the buttons for the door are directly over the buttons for the intercom and lucky you - your apartment if the first number of the door code so all the drunkards constantly ask you to let them in. After these issues arose we contacted the host in hopes she would shed some light for our second dreaded night - we were ever so graciously AIRED (she read our message and didn’t reply). Oh and they take a £50pp safety deposit before you arrive!😁 which for us was £700 on top of what we already paid for this dreadful apartment!

Welcome to Hell If you like waking up with your hair soaked in sweat, this is the place for you. The room was large and one entire side was windows with very thin shades which caused a terrible greenhouse effect. The windows would not open because they added a second set of windows over the historic windows. The new windows opened in and the shades are mounted to the ceiling blocking the windows from opening. It was about twenty degrees hotter in the room than it was outside. There is no air conditioning. Imagine getting into a hot car in the summer but you can’t roll down the windows. Now imagine trying to sleep. It was awful. At first they said the windows are locked because they didn’t want people smoking. The second day they said they would open the windows but then they said we couldn’t open them. They gave us one sad fan that barely produced any air. We finally blocked the doors open the to try to let some heat out into the hallways but it didn’t help much. The hallways were cool and i actually considered moving my mattress out there to sleep. Thank goodness we only stayed two days. We stayed in July. The rooms are in a really beautiful historic building in a fun part of the city with lots of pubs and live music. None of that matters when you are trying to sleep in temperatures over 80 degrees.

Property was ok but not well set out no tv in living area only in dining area we came as a big family with children planning to watch movies but wasn't comfy enough as tv was in dining area kept finding slugs on the bedroom walls could also do with some new carpet beds was comfy
