Sunshine Key RV Resort & Marina

This place is a hidden gem! The sunsets here are absolutely stunning & some of the best I’ve ever seen. It’s got easy access to the boat ramp, a small beach with chairs to chill out, and a nice shady playground for the kids, laundry facilities, & a gas station/store next door for last minute items. There’s even a pier that’s perfect for fishing or just watching the sunset. There are different vendors and food trucks on site. My favorite by far has been the Disco Fish food truck. It is parked right by the boat ramps—super convenient and so good! Willie, Ninoska, and the whole crew are super friendly and welcoming, always making you feel at home. You’ve got to try the fish croquetas, the pan con minuta (fried fish sandwich), and seriously—the fries are amazing. Whether you’re boating, fishing, hanging with the family, or just grabbing some great food, this spot has it all. Definitely worth a visit!

Our family truly enjoys this site—we return every year, and it continues to be a favorite for the kids. We appreciate the effort that goes into maintaining such a welcoming and family-friendly environment. That said, we did want to share some feedback regarding a recent policy change that has presented a challenge during our stay. With the Florida Keys’ sunny and warm climate, shade is very important—especially for families with children. The current rule permitting only one tent per site makes it difficult to provide adequate cover for both the seating and cooking areas. As a result, we often have to choose between comfort and practicality, which can limit how much time we’re able to spend outside during the day. We completely understand the need for guidelines and truly respect the work being done to keep the site running smoothly. Our hope is simply that this feedback might help inform future considerations around guest comfort and safety in the heat. Thank you again for all that you do to make this such a special place
