I booked the hotel two months in advance, which secured a more affordable price.
Facilities: It's a new hotel with comprehensive amenities, including a smart toilet. Unfortunately, the windows don't have screens, so many small mosquitoes flew in when I opened them at night. 😂
Cleanliness: Spotless and hygienic, exactly what you'd expect. 👌
Location & Dining: After visiting Genyen's Eye, it was just a 10-minute drive, making the location very convenient. However, the hotel's kitchen isn't completed yet, so no dinner was available. Breakfast was also very basic: just plain congee, eggs, and pickles. Luckily, we brought our own instant noodles! I believe the overall rating would improve significantly if the breakfast offering was enhanced. 😅
Service: Standard service, fair for the price paid. Neither excellent nor poor, perfectly acceptable. 👌
Overall: The guesthouse exceeded my expectations. I'm glad I took the Genyen South Route; it was truly a worthwhile trip. Thumbs up! 👍

The guesthouse is located in Ranrika Village, just a stone's throw from Genye's Eye. Our room was spotless, and the bedding was excellent. We had a wonderful night's sleep, greatly aided by the in-room oxygen machine. Although breakfast wasn't technically included, the owner went above and beyond, kindly preparing porridge, tea eggs, and steamed buns for us. They were also incredibly enthusiastic in recommending local attractions and things to do.

The hotel was spotless and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and all the room amenities were well-equipped and worked perfectly. Its location is excellent, making transportation very convenient, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. I was extremely satisfied with my stay and would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

The breakfast offering was incredibly meager, consisting only of eggs and porridge. I was honestly baffled that this was considered a proper breakfast, and anything beyond that required an additional fee. Moreover, the hotel felt like it was still under construction.

Misleading Ads + Disgusting Hygiene! Is this the standard for an 800 RMB/night B&B in Western Sichuan?
1. **False advertising on the platform; underfloor heating just for show.**
Prior to booking, I specifically confirmed that the room would have underfloor heating and oxygen supply. Yet, upon arrival, I was told that 'no one in the entire village uses underfloor heating' and 'there's no need to turn it on.' With the temperature dropping to 5℃ that night, the staff were unyielding. They only grudgingly turned on the heating at 10 PM, which then heated up so slowly that I woke up freezing in the middle of the night. This completely defeated the purpose of paying a premium for the room. The staff continuously shirked responsibility, even resorting to ridiculous excuses like 'children getting nosebleeds' to dismiss our concerns. Their behavior was utterly unprofessional and showed a complete disregard for guest needs. We had to request the oxygen machine three times, eventually even needing to contact the owner directly via WeChat. After waiting for several hours, we finally received a tiny, insufficient oxygen concentrator.
2. **Shocking hygiene conditions.**
- The toilet bowl had urine stains and cigarette ash. The sink and toothbrush holder were coated in grime, clearly untouched since the last guest.
- Drawers were dusty, filled with insect corpses and rubbish. Underneath the bed was thick with dust, and the floor was covered in footprints.
- The mirror was splattered with toothpaste, and the bedding appeared to have been only changed, not thoroughly cleaned.
For an 850 RMB/night room, the lack of basic cleanliness was appalling, reminiscent of a cheap hostel costing mere tens of RMB!
3. **Abysmal service attitude.**
From the moment we checked in, the staff were cold and unhelpful, consistently dismissing our reasonable requests. The owner offered no proactive solutions or compensation, merely engaging in sophistry. This 'luxury B&B' completely lacked any fundamental service consciousness.
They lured us in with false advertising, delivered a product that didn't match the description, provided hygiene conditions that were beyond appalling, and topped it all off with terrible service. I strongly advise against staying here. For the same price, there are countless better options in Western Sichuan. Don't waste your money only to suffer!
The view outside the room was nothing but construction materials and bricks! Absolutely no scenery to speak of!
I have already filed a complaint with the booking platform regarding the misleading advertising and am awaiting their official resolution.

The room was clean and comfortable, and it even came equipped with an oxygen concentrator. We had a direct view of the sacred mountain right from our window. The owner was also very kind. For a high-altitude region, finding accommodation like this is truly excellent.

The views are absolutely stunning; you can see snow-capped mountains right from the hotel's entrance. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and even the single beds are spotless. I particularly appreciated the bathroom with its separate wet and dry areas. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance!

The service was practically non-existent. The front desk was manned by a young Gen Z guy who was constantly glued to his phone playing games, alongside an older Sichuan woman. These two individuals were somehow supposed to manage twenty rooms. Breakfast was absolutely dreadful, consisting only of plain congee, braised eggs, and pickled vegetables. Seriously, there was no main staple food whatsoever – not even a simple steamed bun! To make matters worse, the cooking area looked like a complete garbage dump. They claim the owner is from Zhejiang, but frankly, if you check out other guesthouses in the vicinity, you'll see the kind of service you can expect for 800-900 RMB a night. This place offers nothing close to that standard for the price.

The dorm rooms come with private bathrooms, offering excellent value for money, and are kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast is satisfying and prepared hygienically. The guesthouse is beautifully designed and features comfortable common areas for guests to relax. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant, the facilities are excellent, and the owner provides wonderfully attentive service.
