Rooms are fine and clean, location is also good - leaving a 1 star review for the horrendous customer service. See below. Really disappointed with the so called 24/h concierge service they say is offered - really not the case. My friend and I who were staying at the apartments were robbed at knifepoint (this description doesn't even explain how serious the situation was) very nearby to the apartments (on Monday 23rd October in the evening) on our way home (about 1-2 streets away from Green street which is right next to this location). We had no phones as they were stolen, thankfully my friend had memorised the door code or we could have been completely stranded. We called the concierge once inside via the free phone and were told someone would come to our apartment at 09:30 with a phone - no one arrived and when I contacted the property via email after leaving the country and checking out early they told me they said 10am and not 09:30 (which was not the case) and no refund for the two unused nights after early check out would be possible. We left early as we were extremely distressed by the experience (FYI we contacted Portuguese police as soon as it happened) and weren't sure if our stolen phones could be used to access the building as we had pictures of the codes on both of our phones. Understand it's not the responsibility of the apartments to look after individuals however considering this happened so close to this location was surprised by the attitude and lack of care.

The Hilton Curios are never a let down. We are diamond members and always try to stay at one wherever we travel. I was skeptical with this hotel considering it had just opened but we chose it anyways due to its location and happy we did. Location is great, staff was very helpful. The day we were departing the airlines were on strike and the staff went above and beyond to try to help us with all our concerns to get back to the US, which we were very grateful for! The service in the restaurant was little too slow but I'm sure they were still working on the ”new opening kinks” so cut some slack! The rooms are a bit tight, but who really stays in the rooms anyways! Loved the decor of the rooms and entire hotel, most important the beds were very comfortable and the AC works great! Would stay here again 100%

We booked a week at the Lisbon Serviced Apartments - Bairro Alto based on positive reviews from previous visitors. The (eight room) four story apartments are located in the old hilly section of the city where steep and narrow sidewalks are the norm and are slippery during rain. The main entrance is via a short alleyway. Access to the outer main door entrance and individual apartments are very 21st century in that there is no reception. The outside door has a cypher lock and guests use a reservation number to get in. Once inside the 'lobby' space there is a kiosk/screen to check in and get an assigned room and cypher code for your room. The kiosk has language selections to help with directions. There also a one-way phone to speak with a person/assistance. The machine scans documents, i.e., passports or European ID cards. It took me ten minutes and the final phase was to take a photo of the QR square displayed to keep track of your room number and access code. There are four floors with two apartments on each floor. There is an elevator and stairs. The rooms are spacious and well outfitted with a mini kitchen, including dishes, cooking ware, dishwasher, clothes washer and refrigerator. The clothes washer is great, we used it and dried clothes on a clothes hangar that was stashed in the closet. There is a comfortable queen size bed with a large flat screen hanging on the opposite wall. A closet has a self-use strong box with directions (in English) to set-up a personalized multi-digit code during your stay. The bathroom is roomy with a shower stall instead of a bath. Plenty of windows, including in the bathroom. The cross street is named Rua Do Poco Dos Negros and is a main line for the local trams that pass through the neighborhood, with a tram stop maybe 100 feet from the apartments. Taxis pass through here as well. Small restaurants are plentiful within a 15-minute parameter. The popular Plaza del Comercio is about a twenty-minute walk or a Three Euro Tram ride away. Aside from steep streets, the area is safe, even a night. The apartments are a clean, good bargain for staying in Lisbon.

We only used the hotel to rest at night & get ready in the morning. We were always outside but enjoyed our stay here overall. However, one of the rooms we stayed in had stupid things, like the actual layout design was disappointing. The hanging rail over the wine cooler ( not a fridge) and TV was an extremely inappropriate place for clothes. So much space but everything is in one place. the sockets are not easy to access, and none of them were free. Except for one on the wall, up high by the ceiling, why? Can't charge or plug anything up there. The windows, open but don't close, like literally, you can't close them, because they don't close. The A/C, sorry, I meant, the rocket engine by the bedside table, was unfortunately too loud. Either sweat or stay awake with that blasting in your ears all night. Or if you're really lucky, you can listen to the neighbour's dog's choir after-hours concert because the barking is constant with intermissions in between. I struggled to sleep, yes. But my mum didn't so that's a plus. Tip: 501 windows are right in front of the rooftop garden, so get dressed in the dark bathroom with little lighting. The smart TV and smart projector & speaker were great for a little movie night before bed. Although room 503 had the answer to most of our problems. I hope the rest of the private rooms are like that one. I found both rooms spacious with lovely views of Lisboa. Hot water takes a while but will come. Except for one morning, there was no water. At all. A problem in the neighbourhood. Got fixed in about an hour. That 1 slice of toast powerplant restaurant needs better breakfast options for B&B guests. (It was sad) I'd recommend Dear Breakfast literally a few doors down instead, better customer service and a real meal. ( #1 fan) The Hostel location couldn't have been more perfect. All the guests were calm and friendly people too. The hotel attracts good people, I was worried the hostel would be a stereotypical loud, dirty and party place like in the movies (well we did have a private room). but the whole hotel was super clean and quiet inside. The shared restrooms were the only place that wasn't clean 24/7 but understandable I guess. I love the views and location so much, I think I'd have to come again because of that.

It was our first time staying in Lisbon, and we chose the Gallery house. We are so glad we did as the booked room was spacious and very comfortable with a huge en-suite area. I want to give a big thank you to Tessa, Roberta and Joao and all the guys serving drinks and food for the delicious breakfast everyday and first class service. On the first day we were welcomed with a glass of rose and were advised by Roberta showing us her favourite restaurants and marking them up on the supplied map and Tessa on the last day advising us where to go in the Belem area and LX factory. A tip for Lisbon is to bring a good pair of trainers for walking the hills and searching the vast mount of restaurants and trendy bars which are snuck away in the back streets. We will definitely be back and stay at the gallery house. Thanks once again for making our stay in Lisbon a very enjoyable one. Toni and Justin (the man with the lucky fishing hat) x

good location, close to many attractions. Rooms are clean and bed was comfortable . Front desk staff specially Iryna are amazing. She recommended many good restaurant and helped me with whatever I needed. Breakfast was very good . I would recommend this place, but be aware that this place like many other places in old town Lisbon is located in a restrictrd area meaning only residents can drive their car in those streets and if you get an Uber or any other ride from airport, they won’t be able to drop you off at this hotel and you have to carry your luggage on an uphill street for few minutes to get to the hotel. It’s best to reserve a taxi from the hotel. They do offer to send a driver to pick you up from the airport.

I stayed recently. Unfortunately, my sister had an accident so our 3 day pilgrimage to Fatima became over a fortnight’s stay. It is a wonderful little guesthouse. More importantly, the reception staff were absolutely amazing to me. Everyday, they asked about my sister & took the time to come & speak to me personally. They absolutely went above & beyond. They phoned me taxis to the hospital daily, gave me so much advice & information. Gonçalo, Natalia & Ines were the kindest people I have ever encountered. I am absolutely so grateful to them. They really helped me get through such an awful situation whilst alone. I will never forget how much they helped. Anyway, the rooms are absolutely spotless. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the gorgeous breakfast is delicious, so fresh, homemade pastries, freshly squeezed juice, free coffee & water available all day in reception. A beautiful courtyard to just sit & relax. An absolute hidden gem. Such an old historic beautiful authentic Portuguese residence. I loved my stay despite the circumstances. So much nicer than a soulless hotel. Thank you so much Casa do Patio, especially Goncalo, Natalia, Ines & the lovely friendly breakfast staff & housekeeping. Never forget your kindness. Diana and her team have created a home away from home atmosphere. Always friendly, providing super suggestions of things to see, do, eat, shop, etc Larger spaces than a typical hotel, with thoughtful amenities, such washer/ dryer access with detergent supplied. The location is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, it is a 5-10 minute walk to Time Out market and other points of interest and of course they have umbrellas ☔️ for guests. And super clean, always! I only wish they would disallow smoking in the courtyard, which is rarely used, but when it is, it is not possible to share the space. Hopefully they will make the change. Will return soon!
