The Ivens Hotel was home to the first luxury warehouse in the city in the XIX century as well as of the first Portuguese public. The iconic building is in every way representative of the XIX century a period which has marked the spirit and culture of Lisbon. The hotel has 87 unique and comfortable rooms of which ten are spacious suites including two signature top floor suites. The entrance was mapped to resemble the journey of Ivens and Capelo, two of greatest Portuguese explorers to unveil Africa back on the XIX century. The hotel holds three cinematic dining areas designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan who offer a journey through Italian cuisine, al fresco dining and a Barra area.

Very good hotel, good location, a few minutes walk from the Bica and Justa elevator.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, full of Lisbon style, with details everywhere. The breakfast is delicious and the service attitude is great.

The room has enough space and is very hygienic. You can open the balcony door but cannot go out. The service is also good, but the location is not very convenient. At this price, there should be more and better options. I probably won't stay here again next time.

Charming hotel, Impeccable Service and Excellent location… this is how I would summarize the Ivens hotel Lisbon. Just came back from a 5 nights stay at the Ivens and we honestly cannot wait to go back. Beautiful hotel, located in the beautiful Chiado area, within walking distance to the old town and Bairro alto, and is surrounded by amazing restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself has such a warm character with its earthy colors. It is so beautifully decorated and so inviting. The rooms are well appointed and relatively spacious for European standards. Breakfast is served in the elegant Rocco restaurant that has, in my humble opinion, one of the most beautiful bars I’ve ever seen. Service is impeccable in every way. From a seamless checkin, to the room service, and last but not least the concierge team. They are a gem!. A special shoutout to Thomas!!. Thank you for your excellent recommendations and thank you for taking the time to understand what we really want and like. Our trip couldn’t have been that special without all the trips and fantastic restaurants you recommended. What makes the Ivens so special is the kindness of its people and their attention to their guests. Thank you all for making our stay extra special. The Dibs

Fantastic on all fronts. great location, restaurant and bar set up was amazing and the breakfast buffet was top notch. small but comfy rooms and excellent staff.

Location, location, location! My husband loved this hotel. I wasn’t as impressed as he was but still a great hotel and we would stay here again, mainly because it is so centrally located. Our room, as other reviewers have mentioned, was incredibly small, which was ok because we weren’t in Lisbon to stay in our hotel room. Furniture could have been a little more thoughtful for storage and space. There was no outlet for drying your hair in the bathroom that I could find, which was odd. A tip to get from the Rua Augusta area back to the hotel: find the Chiado metro station and take the multiple escalators to the top. You will be steps from the hotel.

We had a great stay at the Ivens Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located. The staff were courteous and extremely helpful. From our arrival to our departure, all the staff we encountered were lovely. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Lisbon.

I am a very hard to please, but this hotel exceed my expectations. The staff was amazing, the rooms are super clean and nice and the everyday gift made my stay even more special! I am so happy I chose this hotel over the other ones. Will come back
