I had a wonderful stay at The 8 - Downtown Suites. From the moment I arrived, I received a warm and professional welcome. The room was spotless, clean, and very comfortable. A special mention goes to the view—truly superb! The location is ideal, right in the heart of Lisbon: everything is within walking distance, whether it's tourist attractions, restaurants, or public transport. The staff is attentive, always available and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place; I'll be happy to come back!

If you need a one-night stay in the heart of the city, the location is convenient. However, solo female travelers might want to reconsider. Not every floor has a lift, so carrying luggage upstairs can be a hassle. The motion-sensor lights make the hallways quite dark, which can feel unsettling. That said, the front desk staff was accommodating, so I can’t complain for a short stay. Would I return? Probably not.

We booked Hotel 8 in April, and it was a complete disaster. The moment we entered room 101, we were hit with a nauseating smell of fresh paint. It was so intense it gave me a migraine within minutes. The room itself was dirty, poorly maintained, and absolutely not ready for guests. We stayed barely 10 minutes before deciding to leave — it was physically unbearable. When we asked the receptionist for a room change, she was rude, dismissive, and claimed the hotel was fully booked. Worse, while we stepped out briefly (our belongings still in the room), the receptionist entered the room without our permission. This was a shocking violation of our privacy. Despite all this, the hotel refused to refund us. €800 gone for a room we couldn’t even stay in. Amex Travel has been unhelpful too. Do yourself a favor — stay far away from this hotel. It’s not worth the risk.

The front desk staff were very friendly, especially Pedro, who welcomed us warmly and helped us a lot. He gave us plenty of tips on places to visit and where to eat in Lisbon. Location 10/10 close to everything. The room was spacious, but unfortunately needs a bit refurbishing. The curtains were dirty, and there were nails sticking out of the floor in several places. We had to tape some of them down to avoid stepping on them. The place has its charm but needs refurbishing.

Kleines Hotel mit 25 Zimmern direkt im Zentrum mit 24h besetzter Rezeption. Es gibt 4 unterschiedliche Zimmertypen, wir hatten Premium gebucht und waren mit den 30 m² Zimmerfläche sehr zufrieden. Das Personal war stets freundlich. Die Lage ist fast unschlagbar, man kommt schnell überall hin. Leider sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig, da innen nur Leichtbauwände verbaut sind. Man hört die Nachbarn schnarchen. Der Aufzug fährt nur in die Zwischengeschosse; etwas Treppensteigen bleibt einem nicht erspart. Zum Frühstück gab es frisch gemachte Eier. Der Orangensaft war vermutlich frisch gepresst, leider war der Kaffee nur aus löslichem Pulver hergestellt. Insgesamt hätte ich mir beim Frühstück etwas mehr Abwechslung gewünscht, auch wenn eigentlich alles da war. Die Lage zu diesem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist natürlich klasse. Für ein Drei Sterne Hotel eine gute Leistung.
