Shalai - Exclusive Spa and Small Gourmet Hotel

Beautiful structure, old and renovated with modern design but I certainly can't say it was a positive experience. They gave us a room on the second floor but the structure does not have a lift. We had to carry our luggage up by ourselves with a boy and a 4 year old girl. The room they gave us smelled of mould and in fact the bathroom was full of it on the walls.

English: The hotel is located inside a historic building of considerable charm, particularly evident in the frescoed ceiling of the relaxation room. The room reserved for me was large, yet very basic, with a small recess used as a wardrobe, also occupied by the cabinet containing the fridge/safe, which however essentially allowed for hanging coats with a shelf above: I found it not very functional for someone who would need to unpack their suitcase. Similarly, in the room there was only a small table, a chair and a stool, a shelf would have been useful, but also a simple waste bin, and it would have been appreciated for a structure of its level to also find water available, in addition to the paid water in the fridge. Large shower (but the tray would need maintenance), spacious beds, with very soft linens, but my mattress was slightly sunken compared to my taste. The starred restaurant, as well as the breakfast, are worth the cost of the visit alone. The chef's dishes are tasty, refined, flavourful, and the dining room staff perfectly manages to describe the thought behind each dish. Extremely large cellar, as it should be for a starred restaurant. The Spa is small but comfortable, being able to have it reserved facilitates relaxation. All the staff at the facility are absolutely kind, helpful, friendly and very accommodating. Definitely to return!

Quel bel établissement logé au pied de l'Etna! Tout est beau et acceuillant, nous avons profité d'une magnifique chambre familiale toute blanche et épurée, avec une belle salle de bains lumineuse. Le petit déjeuner était également excellent, tout comme le service général. Les prix sont un peu excessifs pour une petite ville comme Linguaglossa, mais l'endroit en lui-même est parfait.

Well-maintained structure, courteous staff. Gorgeous suite rooms, the standard rooms are absolutely not worth it as they are small and do not fit the price at all. Very good starred chef breakfast. Small spa and lukewarm water, I expected more, I would not do it again.
