酒店真的就是王家大院的一部分，所以很適合住住逛逛。特別是夏天，天熱白天沒勁逛，住在這裏可以在晚上或者早晨涼爽些的時候隨意走走（不過這不是現在賣票參觀的王家大院，是完整王家大院5堡之一），因為坡度問題，走多了會有點累。不過我們訂的2個房間其中一個特別臭，還有就是退房後幾次打電話來問茶葉的事，有點煩人，雖然是拿起看過，不過確定沒用過，也不知道為什麼問了又問。
