The room is on the other side of the train station, about 800 meters away. Everything is good, clean and sanitary, but there is no plug near the bed. The plugs in the whole room are concentrated in one place. I hope it can be improved.

Der Check in war flott und problemlos. Ein weiterer Mitarbeiter führt uns zum Zimmer, praktisch, das Haus ist recht verwinkelt. Das Zimmer selbst ist nicht riesig, aber ausreichend, mit Seeblick, es ist sauber und schön warm. Das gilt auch für Gemeinschaftsbad und WC. Großzügig und großartig und liebevoll gestaltet ist der Gemeinschaftsraum/Bar, es gibt heiße und kalte Getränke in Selbstbedienung und Begegnungen mit netten Leuten. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Westküste befindet sich in ausgezeichneter Lage: ganz nah der See, die Innenstadt keine 10 Minuten zu Fuß (Leider gibt es die Fußgängerbrücke zum Bahnhof nicht mehr), dazwischen Freizeitanlagen. Per S-Bahn oder Uferstraße (im Sommer auch per Schiff) kommt man blitzschnell nach Bregenz und Dornbirn, zu noch mehr Kultur- und Kulinarik angeboten. Einzig bei der Transparenz Parkplatz und Frühstück (Nebensaisonregelung) betreffend während/vor der Buchung, würde ich mir eine Verbesserung wünschen. Gutes Teil, wir kommen wieder.

Onestop in Lindau
Greated by an old run down two part hostel/hotel. Needs a lot of repairs. Could only pay with cash and the parking at the hotel was extra.

Väldigt smala trappor upp till rummet.
Rummet var sådär, väldigt smal trappa upp till det.
Tog inte kreditkort vilket inte är ok eftersom man måste gå till automat ca 10 minuter bort.

Good stay
Our stay was fine and we found good cleanliness. There were amble shower rooms and 4 toilets (I believe) in various parts of the hostel. Initially, I found the breakfast menu confusing and needed guidance - my fault.

Mittelmäßiges Hostel, das Zimmer war bei der Übergabe nicht gereinigt, das Bettzeug des Vorgängers war noch auf dem Bett.
Die Lage ist top, 3 Gästeparkplätze - ein Parkhaus 10 min entfernt

Das schäbigste was ich an "Hotel" jemals erleben musste. Das Wort Hotel ist hier eine einzige Irreführung und nicht im Ansatz zu erwarten. Der traurige Beleg dafür:
Im 2ten OG gibt es 6 Zimmer mit 1 Klo, 2 Duschen, 2 Waschbecken aus dem Flur FÜR ALLE.
Ein uraltes runtergekommenes Haus.
Über dem Hotel Eingang begrüßen einen Massen von Spinnen und Spinnweben.
Im Treppenhaus fehlt es Eimerweise an Farbe.
Keine persönliche Rezeption, am 1 Tag wurde überhaupt niemand vom Hotel gesehen!
Das sperrlich dürftige Frühstück, nein danke.
Eine durch und durch erbärmliche Absteige!
Und dafür massiv überteuert. Da ist JEDE DJH vorzuziehen

Aufgrund eines Konzerts reiste ich nach Lindau an. Ich wollte nicht am Abend zurückfahren, also sah ich mich nach einer günstigen (billigen?) Unterkunft um. Die "Westküste" versprach für kleines Geld eine Übernachtungsgelegenheit. Ich wusste, dass ich mich zu einem Sechspersonenzimmer (also mit fünf fremden Menschen) hab hinreißen lassen, aber egal. Eine Nacht muss gehen. Angekommen, hing auf einer Wand die Briefkuverts inklusive Zimmerschlüssel der Neuankömmlinge zur Selbstbedienung. Das Haus ist schon alt, die Treppen steil, aber machbar. Das für mich vorgesehene Bett war schon belegt und nach telefonischer Rücksprache konnte ich mir das nächst freie Bett aussuchen. Toiletten und Dusche sind für alle Gäste im Gang. Für den Zweck günstig zu übernachten reichte es. Würde ich das Hotel weiterempfehlen? Nein, in meinem Alter übernachtet man so nicht mehr wirklich; überrascht hat mich trotzdem, dass eher gesetzteres Publikum dort übernachtet hat. Aber es ist kein Hotel für einen gepflegten Urlaub. Ja, das Frühstück kann man sich schenken.

When we arrived to this hostel, the key waited us on the notice board, but when we got to our room, it was dirty and we didn't even have enough sheets for three people. I called to the number, that was given, but no answer. I also send an e-mail. Then we went to explore the city, and I expected that someone would call me back or read my e-mail. Nothing. We went back and the room was in same condition as before. I called again multiple times and finally I sent an e-mail, that we are leaving. Then I happend to see someone, that I thought was a cleaner. She didn't speak english/german, but she got there someone, who did. He said he is not the owner, nor does he work there, but all the sudden things started to happen. We got our room cleaned, and because it was getting late, and we had a child with us, we decided to stay. When we were leaving, there was a lady in reception, but she didn't ask, did we enjoy our staying... She must have known about our situation, but she didn't regret to that, either. Also we had to pay by cash and we had to ask for receipt, which she did give to us, but it was handwritten. So overall, not a very pleasent experience and definitely not well organized place. Obviously I don't recommend this place.
