everything we could ask for and more-enjoyed 3 nights in the cabin at beach front cottage inn-everyone we dealt with was super nice, helpful but without being intrusive-we can't wait to go back

On Memorial Day weekend we stayed in the Appledore suite and thanks to lousy weather almost had the entire place to ourselves. The location is great right next to the beach and just north of Camden. The place was very clean and our small kitchen had everything you need. View from the porch is lobster boats and the ferry. Only downsides were the restaurant next door is currently closed and for sale, the stairs to the room are authentic New England steep (we didn’t mind, reminded me of home), and the bed was on the hard side. Pluses well outweighed these minor issues and we’d definitely stay again. Small pizza place across from beach makes great grinders and sells beer and wine to go. I heard one customer rave about the pizza.

Amazing place steps to the beach...kind and hospitable staff...cozy bed with some of the most comfortable pillows I have ever experienced. Very close to restaurants and take out places as well! Highly recommend

The owners are super nice!! And very accommodating! The property itself has some amazing views! I loved being able to walk and sit by ocean. This place is right on the water. I am definitely going to be staying there again.

Quaint is the word that comes to mind. We were in Maine in the off-season, when much was closed for the winter, so the focus was on a restful vacation. The Beach Cottage Inn is located in a scenic spot -- our balcony looked out over Penobscot Bay, and it was warm enough a few days to sit out. Unfortunately, our host was out-of-town for a family emergency, but we didn't lack for anything since Rob, a neighbor, filled-in and made sure our stay was nice. If you are looking for a modern hotel, go elsewhere, but if you are looking for a place that feels homey and comfortable, I would recommend the Beach Cottage Inn.
