If you've never statyed in a Parador location, this is an excellent example of the brand/experience in Spain. Don't forget to sign up for the AMIGO discoount scheme too! Very handy for the ferry services from Bilbao and Santander too!

Located close to Santander and Bilbao. Room was well equipped and we were happy. You could hear some noise from other guests especially late at night. Free parking available if you are happy to walk up and down the hill. Not an issue for us. Swimming pool looked clean but we didn't use. Town was quiet with a few restaurants/bars and a good supermarket.

El Parador se haya en un bosque que pertenece al complejo. El edificio es un antiguo palacio del siglo XIX ampliado con una zona de nueva construcción. La recepción es muy guapa con la cafetería, sillones y una escalera principal de madera impresionante. Dispone de piscina exterior. Hay muchos salones para descansar por el edificio. Las habitaciones como suele ser en los paradores bastante grandes, con mucha madera y un estilo antiguo. La nuestra, que estaba en la parte del palacio tenía una muy amplia terraza. El complejo es muy grande, se trata de un bosque con árboles de todo tipo y muchos caminos. Se puede aparcar gratis en el propio hotel a la entrada del recinto o pagando en la zona del edificio. Desayuno y cena muy buenos. El Parador está muy bien para estar tranquilo, pues estás en medio de un bosque.

Superbe emplacement, très calme. A 10 minutes de Laredo et son quartier ancien magnifique. On a l'impression d'être dans une maison d'hôtes par ce côté intimiste du palais.
