Great location and great service, great food and most important fantastic little beach on a lake with fantastic view

We picked this hotel as it was by the lake and close to limone. Although it was a 2.5hr drive from the airport, the picturesque views were worth it. The area is absolutely stunning. Our check in was easy and we were given our room key (just 1 key) up in the 3000's. It was a hike and a half up a massive hill with all of our luggage. It would be beneficial to have a buggy cart to help guests get to the rooms up top. Our room was basic but we were expecting that from other reviews but I can't fault anything really. We were glad to have air-conditioning as it was very hot, even if it was very noisy. The view from our balcony was breathtaking of the lake. The pool area is lovely and relaxing and has an open bar, no ice at pool bar so we used to bring some from the bar in the lobby up with us. The drinks selection was plentiful although as a red win drinker I had to stay clear of that, it was awful. They do have a bar where you can pay for cocktails and other drinks that are not included and it's not expensive. The food was really nice, although it really catered for the German guests we never left hungry. (The majority of guests there were German). The hotel is really spotlessly clean and rooms were serviced every day. The only fault i have is the entertainment at night, we were there for 10 and it was so boring. There was no atmosphere at all, only on the last night they had karaoke and it was a bit of a laugh. The beach is lovely, we spent a few days there swimming and snorkeling a bit as the fish come right up to shore. Bring shoes for in the lake as it is very stoney and be prepared to climb back up a lot of steps to get back to the hotel. Overall we had a brilliant holiday and did a few day trips to limone and malscene (by ferry). Beautiful area. Any questions, just ask

The Leonardo da Vinci hotels buffet is very disappointing the food is not brilliant not much good things staff are very nice though. The pool is ok as it has a slide but it doesn't really go that fast Wich is disappointing the staff at the hotel are lovely. The view is very nice and at the end of the day they have a singer were a lot of people from the hotel come but they all smoke Wich is disgusting overall it is pretty average.
