Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lima, Oh

This hotel appears to be struggling. We arrived late and did not have the flexibly with kids to jump hotels or we would have. The room we stayed in smelt musty. The room felt slightly moist. The carpets were absolutely disgusting- looked not vacuumed and stained. The window frame was full of mold. The beds were okay and the bedding appeared clean. The cloth shower curtain has multiple rips. The continental Breakfast was very limited and cereals were stale and bagels were hard as rocks.

The hotel was in a great location, but it is not being taken care of. Our room carpets were almost sticky they were so dirty. I don't think they have seen a vacuum for weeks. The staff seemed to be helpful but there wasn't alot of effort to keep things kept up. Breakfast had a good variety, but we had to wait for the coffee, the oatmeal was cold. The halls were dirty, and people kept leaving trash in the hall. We didn't get maid service are first night but when I went to the front for more shampoo and coffee, she gave me shampoo and told me I had to find a maid to get coffee. We can tolerate a lot but having to wear shoes the whole time I was in the room and worried about the dirty floors were terrible and I wouldn't recommend anyone go to stay there

We had to switch rooms because it smelled like **** so bad in our room. The staff did nothing to make it right. They gave us an air freshener which didn’t work. The furniture was old and stained. They put couch covers to try to hide it. Bathroom door wouldn’t close. Nasty.

Very Disappointed After a long day of travel and activities we checked into our room. We got to the room and were very disappointed with the appearance of our room. My husband went to use the toilet and there was toilet paper and pee in the toilet. The carpet was very stained, blackout curtain has several rips in it, the arm chair has a large spot that looked like blood, the desk chair looked like a cat clawed it to death, the bathroom door would not close completely because there was a marble ***** across the floor where the carpet and tile came together because of this the door would not even close tightly at all, the remote would not even turn the TV on it had to be turned on at the TV. The one that really got us was that the carpet was not even vacuumed. I spoke to the desk clerk when we checked out with some of these issues and he said the Manager would be in at 11am (we left at 8am) and that he would let the Manager know when they came in. From the type of people, we saw staying there were mostly construction workers, and we totally understand the hallways being dirty but when it comes to the room you are sleeping in that is unacceptable.

The hotel was pretty decent, though the bathroom fixtures were cheap. The shower handle and faucet rattled, and the chain in the toilet tank would get caught under the stopper and the toilet kept running. Worst of all, we got stuck paying an extra $10 for three specialty cookies in the "free" breakfast area that wasn't labelled well at the time. When I warned other guests of the extra cost, the breakfast attendent snapped at me, so the hospitality quality at this hotel is seriously lacking.
