Hôtel Mercure Lille Centre Grand-Place

Just normal hotel for business trip, there is road construction during the stay, quite noisy in the morning.

I prepaid all my hotel fees online with my credit card via Trip.com, but shortly after I checked out of my hotel, I received an SMS on my mobile phone saying that my credit card was charged again by the hotel itself (the duplicate charge being approximately 1250 HKD, which is more or less the same as what I had prepaid via Trip.com). I sought help from Trip.com regarding the duplicate charge, but still haven't received any refund after waiting for more than 1 week. I really can't recommend this hotel to anyone. You pay for your room at double price for no reason at all. Est-ce que je peux avoir mon remboursement, s'il vous plaît ?

I have mixed feelings about this hotel we stayed yesterday. We had a privileged room which included breakfast and I’d book this because I wanted a bath. First of all our room was next door to the elevator which did not please me but the only alternative was a low floorbut seeing as we booked it the day before then I’m guessing there was very little options available. The lady on reception was lovely very friendly and helpful. The room itself as the disappointing bit small in size and to be honest they’re only in mind you’re in a old building. The rooms were designed in a very modern unattractive Way. The bathroom was tiny what I did like was the two Juliet balconies that we had one in the bedroom one in the bathroom that opened out facing the clocktower that was lovely. I also enjoyed the Luxe amenities, but there were some really cheap things in the room for instance the close range make up mirror in the bathroom was cheap and one of the chairs in the bedroom was stained. There was no free water in the room but there were three fruit juices that were complementary. The bath was small and not a soaker table, the hotel is very well placed to be able to see anything. Breakfast was good for four star hotel. There was plenty of options. The orange juice was not fresh but cartoned but everything else was more than adequate and as I said the service was lovely so value for money now but well placed if I return to Leo I would definitely look at another hotelparking was close by an underground car park and we paid €15 for 22 hours. The beds were comfortable the pillows memory foam.
