Banyan Harbor Resort

The service was fine. The unit was very old carpet smelled,  the unit needs to be updated. Everything was looking like it was from 1970 , if it was updated, I would stay there again, but not the way it is now for the price that you pay was too much. It did have a washer and dryer which was good. It had designated parking, which was cool and staff was nice ,

Place is well maintained. The room we stayed in is recently renovated. Even though its close to everything, definitely you need a vehicle to go to places like beaches, parks, and the many wonderful places Kauai has to offer.

So nice to stay there. We loved the place - next to everything - beach, restaurants…. And the island is heaven Will come back

Unit stocked with everything I needed. My only complaint is the timers on the a/c units and location - blowing directly onto the head of the bed. Outside of that issue, everything else was great. Beds comfortable, all beds comfortable, and sufficient parking.

I have stayed at this property many times and had great stays in the past but unfortunately this trip we had a mice issue in our unit. We had a 7 night stay and during one evening I woke up to get water in the kitchen and saw 3 mice on the kitchen counter and multiple droppings on the counter and on our food. They quickly ran away to a small space between the dishwasher and cabinets. After I saw this I started to look around the kitchen and living area space and found more evidence of mice due to droppings everywhere. Needless to say I was disgusted. I have a toddler who had been running all over the area prior to my discovery. I immediately reached out to the 24hr contact number since it was late at night but did not get a response. First thing in the morning I went to the front desk and let them know what happened. They were able to switch us rooms but we basically had to waste a day getting all our stuff moved and we were forced to throw out food, including a lot of food for our toddler. Considering this I asked to get at least the cost of a night refunded from the cost of our stay but they said since I booked online they only could refund my taxes. This didn’t make sense to me since I booked online directly from their website but they assured me that they would request the refund from their website company and would get back to me. 2 months month later and I still have not heard back from Banyan staff or representatives even after contacting the front desk multiple times via email, text and phone. I left many messages and would be told that someone would contact me but no one ever did. I’m very disappointed in the lack of response from the property on this matter and in our experience. I will definitely think twice before I book at this property again :(

Staff was amazing! Unit was very clean and organized. Great location and proximity to shops, restart and shopping malls.
