In August we stayed at this property, which changed management at the beginning of 2023 (so be careful not to rely on reviews relating to the old management). The strong points of this structure are certainly the location, the services included and the kindness. The hotel is facing the sea, you go out and after a few meters you are with your feet on the sand, and going in the opposite direction in 2 minutes you are at the beginning of the central pedestrian street, what more could you want? Included in the cost of the room there is an umbrella with 2 deckchairs per room, free parking space nearby and behind a barrier for which they provide you with the pass (otherwise for 1 week you would spend 80-100 euros...), free bikes when you wants (other hotels offer them at 2 euros per hour) and entrance fees to a nearby swimming pool. The staff, all very young, are kind and smiling, you can feel the team's harmony. 24-hour reception which is convenient and gives a sense of presence and security. For the August holiday they also offered a brunch, which was very welcome and successful. The breakfast buffet is good, with savory foods (eggs, bacon, cured meats, etc) and quality desserts, which is very nice to eat on the veranda overlooking the sea. Unfortunately there are also some weak points such as the absence of a lift (which however is not a big problem if you don't have walking problems, we are still talking about a maximum of 3 floors), the slightly small bathroom, the absence of a fridge in room (yes, we miss this) and in general the need for a renovation of both the building and the furnishings (however the cleanliness is excellent, and this is fundamental). Given the not excessive cost, the location and the many services included, if you don't have excessive expectations, then VillaFranca is certainly a good choice that I recommend.
