Lovely rustic farmhouse. We stayed in the large family room the looked like it would have been the barn with beams and eaves, up some narrow stairs.
The owner greeted us and was very friendly and approachable.
The room we stayed in had one sky light/window with a view of the garden when you looked out.
The bed was comfortable and the room was completely dark at night which helped us get some sleep.
There were a few coffee and chamomile tea, enough for 2 cups each.
The shower room was a good size, the shower can be set to your preferred temperature with good power. There were samples of shower gel were available to use as hand soap.
The breakfast room was down stairs and breakfast, though simple, was tasty with individual cheeses, jam, homemade yogurt and fresh bread/croissant. My daughter loved the yogurt so the owner gave her a bigger container the next morning.
The dogs live in the main house are friendly and the garden is available for children to use, these were a great joy for my children.
The owner is very knowledgeable about the area and history, we had suggestions of places to visit and recommendations for restaurants (although the children chose McDonald's, obviously)
The local town is beautiful, some great photo opportunities there and the local people were friendly.
The owner agreed to let us boil the kettle and make travel hot drinks before we left. He is conscious of over filling the kettle which is a positive for the environment and energy useage.
