Just got back from a wonderful week at Hotel Principe Palace We have been coming here for many years and i must say that this year has been one of the best Alot of this is down to the exceptional staff, from Giovanni,Omar,April,Lindon and Abdul in the restaurant to the magnificent pool bar team Dori,James and Tommy and not forgetting the superb cleaning team, everyone was so polite and friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble, the food was excellent and always served with a smile, rooms were cleaned every day and to a very high standard Max the owner was always around making sure you was being looked after and making your stay as pleasent as possible, overall this year has been the best so far and all the staff need to be kept as they really are a wonderful bunch of people, all very professional in what they do,each and everyone of them If you want a great holiday in Italy then this is the place to stay, trust me you wont regrett it

Just returned from 11 nights here. Amazing hotel…can’t fault it. The food in the restaurant was exceptional with a varied menu. Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more efficient. Pool area always spotless and the pool bar was an added bonus. Just be aware though the pool bar does close at lunchtime! We had a room with balcony at the front which was cleaned each day. Only downside of being at the front is the Piazza can get a bit ‘lively’ in the evenings. Overall a great holiday.

We decided to return to Principe Palace as we had a discount with TUI and we were glad we did. This year we had a room at the back of the hotel (323), which was quieter than the ones overlooking the main square and a little more modern - these have UK/Ireland plugs, direct USB ports etc. The rooms are not huge, it must be said, but we managed ok and enjoyed the balcony. I found the bed particularly comfortable. One massive benefit this year is the return of Giovanni as maitre d’. He is not just a committed professional but also just a thoroughly decent man who clearly cares about the guests. We saw him going out of his way to help others on several occasions, and he also got us a better table. I sincerely hope the hotel can keep him, as he really does make the dining a much better experience. All the staff were very good, of course, and a special word to the cleaning staff - they were exceptional. We found the food in the bars a little too expensive, to be honest, but it is easy to get some fresh bread locally and make a sandwich for lunch. The hotel offers two nights of its own signing entertainment. That is good, though we noted it was the same singer and a similar repertoire - not an issue for us, but it meant it was worth exploring other places too. There is also often entertainment in the square itself (as noted last year, keep this in mind re room choice as you may prefer this and you may not!) There was one significant disappointment. I haven’t marked the hotel down for it as the truth is we hadn’t initially intended to try the buffet at all, as we had gone to the islands that day (Wednesday). However, we came back earlier than planned, and so we thought we would try it. To be blunt, we wished we hadn’t; it was essentially a carvery and that meant it seemed some distance from the typically Venetian cuisine we may expect. Worse still, there really were no serious vegetarian options beyond soup, and that is criminal in 2025. Characteristically Giovanni tried to help and offered to get the chef to make something else, and no doubt that was sincere, but frankly the selection should have been broader and vegetarian-friendlier without needing to ask for special treatment. We left and ate at a superb nearby restaurant, but the point of half-board is we shouldn’t have to do that. I hope the hotel will take this constructive criticism as intended, because we had had a superb stay until this point, and such a poor experience jarred with everything else on offer during our stay. That aside, standards at the hotel are being maintained to a very high standard. I would repeat that the location is exceptional too.

Home now after a fabulous fortnight at the Principe Palace - Our absolute favourite place to stay in Italy, we have been many times and always had a wonderful holiday. We were 3 generations and we all thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful hospitality at this top notch hotel. Max and his staff are so friendly and welcoming; Giovanni and his team in the restaurant were so attentive to us and the food was amazing! We had lovely bedrooms that were cleaned every day to a very high standard. We had lunches every day at the pool bar - an extensive menu that we all enjoyed! We spent evenings in the downstairs terrace bar watching the lively piazza in front of us and looked after by the wonderful Steffi and her efficient team. Highly recommend this paradise!

Have stayed a number of times at this hotel but first since Covid pandemic but nothing that kept us going back has changed. The food and service in the restaurant and pool bar is still excellent - in fact the staff seem friendlier than ever as are the housekeeping staff who keep the rooms immaculate. The three of us stayed in a suite overlooking the square for the entertainment value - which was a modern suite and probably originally 2 rooms converted so plenty of room for us. The pool wasn’t too busy when we were there and always availability on the beach in the hotels own area.

I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels across the globe and never have we experienced such a level of attention from staff. All excellent from reception, cleaning and serving. The food is the best ever with some amazing choices - to be chosen the day prior. A special mention for the maitrede who commands his staff by leading from the front and is genuinely one of the happiest people on the planet, guiding his staff like a fine conductor directs the best orchestra. Yes the room are a little tired - need better hairdryers and usb for charging but your not on holiday to bother with these- the experience and venue is enough. Always something happening in lido de Jeselo, I would never stay in Venice itself as this offers the beach holiday with Venice a boat ride away. Just 10/10 we will be back.

People return to this hotel, the reason is very clear it is a great hotel. If you book direct or go with a travel company your experience will be the same, fantastic, thanks to Barbara and her team. The management and staff are all very approachable and will give you help if ever you need it. The restaurant is really well run by Giovanni and his staff, and the food is varied and really good, on Wednesday it is Italian buffet night, you can try a variety of local foods including the famous Venetian dish of liver, onions and pimentos, on the other nights your starter and main courses are served to you, of the 14 nights we stayed I had a different starter and main every night. The location of the hotel in the Piazza Mazzini makes it very easy to get to Venice using the local transport, 30 mins on the no. 5 bus to Punta Sabbioni and a short trip on a ferry, landing near Saint Marks Square. You are a very short walk to many bars and restaurants either side of the hotel. The hotel has a fantastic pool with a smaller jacuzzi pool and a pool bar that serves a variety of drinks, snacks and meals. The rooms vary in size and you can book front or rear balcony rooms, some have been redecorated others are still waiting, but all are very comfortable and are decorated in typical Italian style. We booked a rear room that was very quiet and had a lovely balcony. The downstairs café/bar is relaxed and very comfortable, you can get any drink including cocktails and a variety of the famous Aperol Spritz drink, again served and made by a great bar crew including the fantastic Steffy. On Wednesdays there is a great singer performing at the hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly, the only trouble with doing so will make it harder for us to return again.

Beautiful hotel! Deluxe room a must as other rooms in need of refurbishment in particular the bathrooms as showered cubicle too small for a rounder figure. Staff very friendly especially the restaurant and front or house bar staff. Food is amazing! Pool-area clean! But sadly we had the experience of SUNBED WARS for our last couple of days as hotel has started to get busy. Fabulous central location, lots of restaurants, bars and shops. If you just want to sit and relax the hotel lobby has outside and inside seating. Beach beautiful and plenty of beds for everyone. We visited Venice easily on our own: Buy ticket from the tobacconist just outside the hotel: Bus 5 just outside the back of the hotel: Boat ticket, you buy at the port : We will return to this little gem x
