Extended Stay America Suites - Lexington - Tates Creek

My daughter reserved this hotel for my husband and I to ta take her daughter ro a gymnastics meet, because she had to work. The room was nothing like the pictures on the website. It was passed outdated. The furniture looked like it came from the junk pile. The exhaust fan over the stove was beyond horrible. The refrigerator was nasty. The bathroom mirror had something white all around the wood frame it. When you sat on the toilet the seat would move. The bed was okay. However, I woke up around 4 because I was itching terribly. And, my arm and legs were whelped up. We asked for ice and they said they didn't have ice. We would have to use the ice trays in the refrigerator. My granddaughter said there weren't any in the fridge and was give two. One was clean the other one wasn't. My granddaughter and husband did not complain of itching. The edge of the ceiling had some kind of spot or mold. We would have checked out and got another hotel, but my daughter had already paid for the rooms and checking around for another hotel most were booked up where we needed to be close to the event. When my daughter spoke to manager about the conditions of the rooms, she said she knew the room looked like that. Read less

Firstly, when you walk in the lobby you see a 100% smoke-free hotel sign, then you are hit with a horrible ashtray smell. The front desk person was as professional and helpful as my cat. There are no elevators in this place, only stairs to get into the building and stairs up to all the floors. We had several heavy suitcases apiece, and there was no way we were going to get them lugged up those stairs! Our room wasn't ready, so we had to come back several hours later, only to find out, it too, smelled like smoke. The whole place just felt dirty and gross. We canceled our reservation and left. We found another hotel over in the hamburg area that was MUCH nicer and not so sketchy.
