Red Roof Inn & Suites Lexington – Hamburg

Stopped here on our way home from vacation. The front desk person was overwhelmed as she was trying to answer the phones and check people in. She was very nice but overworked. I was very surprised to find out that I had to put up a $100 deposit in addition to the room charge. Not a great way to start. The hotel has a second floor but no elevator. We had to lug all of our stuff including our pet up the stairs. The room was clean and the air was on which was nice. The clock/charging port by the bed did not work, the shower drain would not stay open, the exhaust fan did not work and the water was hard to turn off so it would not drip. Several patches to the wall were obvious and were not well done. The bed was comfortable and the internet worked well. I did notice some people who seemed to be making this place their residence. I saw a beat up charcoal grill near the pool area. Also all people staying in the rooms had to be identified and all visitors had to be registered before coming to your room. It seems like they have had some problems in the past which prompted this policy which I had never had happen before. There is a Cracker Barrel nearby to eat at. There are also several gas stations nearby. It is an alright place to crash for a night with a pet.

The dirtiest room I’ve ever experienced. I was hesitant to touch anything. Filth on the walls, doors, mirrors, and phone. Bathroom vent caked with dust. The tub didn’t drain so when I showered, I was standing in several inches of water. I unrolled a wash cloth and a long hair was on it. There was a big yellow stain on the bed linen. The chair is the room was filthy and was “tacky” to touch. The outdoor entrance to room had a piece of what appeared to be metal coming through door jam into room. I didn’t feel safe with door. I have pictures of all my complaints. Worst experience ever!!

Very quiet and friendly stay good house keeping was great id stay agian and agian

This was our last hotel stop on our 7 day trip from Phoenix AZ back home to Ontario Canada. We were impressed by the person at the check-in desk named Tamala. There was a mixup with our reservation and she was concerned that we might be at a different location so she called all the Red Roofs in Lexington to make sure there wasn't a reservation there that we would be charged for. After that, she checked us into a King Room on the first floor. The room was lovely, clean, and had amazing service. We asked if there was a good restaurant nearby and she recommended Sonny's BBQ that had just opened within walking distance. Highly recommend this location!!!!

Good value. Give me my deposit. Not bad. Just 2 days later and haven't received my deposit back.
