Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lexington North

This has to be the worst hotel I have stayed at in a very long time. Given its price range you don’t expect luxury however that does not excuse such low level service. I chose this hotel assuming Marriotts quality control could be relied upon. I won’t make that mistake again. Specifically the food was barely edible. Room cleaning substandard with replacement towels randomly supplied. They fail to inform you that a microwave is not standard (apparently that is a luxury accommodation). The room refrigerator although present is an energy restrictive unit meaning a button inside must be pressed for 2 hours of cooling. Such “cooling” provides tepid drinks at best. So it’s back to the old days of using a cooler with ice. And to top off the experience the hotel booked a party in a conference room on the first floor. The noise level throughout the hotel especially IN MY ROOM is so loud that even turning the TV up as much as possible does not cover up the heavily vibrating base line. This was well underway by 6:00pm. They say it will end by 11:00pm. Don’t plan on sleeping if you stay here. In short I booked 10 nights and will be leaving early as soon as my business is concluded even if they refuse to charge 1 night less. I have stayed at mom and pop motels with far better rooms and amenities than this Marriott. My advice? You can’t rely on Marriott.

Staff went above and beyond We were traveling with family and thought we had request a suite or a room with a pull out bed. Makayla (spelling ?). And her staff went out of their way to get us in a room that would accommodate us. Would stay here again!

Good value. Receptionist was a delight. Macayla made us feel welcome.
