Lanny and Denise are amazing hosts! Close enough to walk into town, to the grocery store and Lake Huron (pier, beach, marina). High ceilings and spacious rooms. Comfy beds and pillows. Front porch and side patio were nice to gather with extended family who were also staying at the lodge and visiting Lexington. We did use the banquet hall for a 50th anniversary party. Nice space! Oh Fudge Shoppe is absolutely the best fudge we have ever put into our mouths!!

First, Lanny and Denise are wonderful hosts!!! All of the rooms are very clean and nicely stocked. This is our fourth year staying here and we look forward to it each year. The outside barbeque area is wonderful. I can't say enough great things about this establishment and its hosts. Great spot to walk to downtown for drinks, eats and music in the park. - Danielle B.

When we entered Room 1, I was bedazzled. The bed and bedspread were lovely as well as the abstract stained glass hanging above the bed. The room was big with a large leathery sofa, small dinette set for two, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, sink, and dishwasher, and a gorgeous decorative fireplace that appears to be original to the house. The bathroom was modern and well equipped. Clearly a lot of effort has been made on design features to keep the home's heritage yet accommodate today's travelers. The bed was clean and comfortable. The lodge is also a few minutes' walk from the town center and its plentiful shopping and walking distance from the lake.

Room was clean and spacious. It's a basic room with an odd assortment of artwork on the walls and combination of fixtures - definitely not much character. The bed was comfortable, although my husband wished for a flatter pillow since he sleeps on his stomach. The shower would be a little tight for a large person, but it served its purpose. We were in Suite 3, which has windows overlooking the east parking lot and a patio with two grills and a few tables. As we were there during cold weather, there was no one using the patio and grills but I can imagine the room would get a lot of the smoke from the grills and a lot of noise if there were people out there in nice weather. Other than hearing the other renters use the wooden stairs outside our room and talk in the common area, we didn't hear much from any other suites. We didn't like that we couldn't control the temperature in our room at night because it was too warm for sleeping. We opened the windows, which let in cool air but also the traffic noise. The lodge is within easy walking distance from several local restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops, the beach, and the pier. We had fun watching the Atlantic salmon leap out of the water in the marina while the fishermen and -women hoped they could catch one on their line. I would recommend the Lake Huron Lodge if you are looking for a nice basic place to stay in the area.

Very nice accommodations! Hubby and I were town for a concert a few blocks away. Nice and quiet, was given a code for the outer door and suite. Our suite was huge, tastefully decorated and furnished with a good size refrigerator, microwave, dishes, flatware and even had a dishwasher. Highly recommended, will definitely stay there again when in town.

As a disabled traveler I stayed in the ADA suite. It was very roomy, everything was very accessible and it was just one of the best experiences I've had with a handicapped room. The bed was comfortable and the area the lodge is in is very relaxing, making for a good night's sleep for the time I was there.

Great linens and general beauty in the original home and addition. Was too warm in the apartment addition, especially in the front king bedroom. The grounds were beautiful as were the porches and definitely recommended to more family for next reunion/bday party.
