Very convenient and cozy. Clean, easy to access, beautiful views, all of the details were thought out, all essentials were provided. Close to town, but out in the peaceful beautiful country. We stayed in the Deerfield unit and there were deer in the yard every day. Will stay here again next year!

We enjoyed our two night stay in the barn. It was very clean and well maintained. We liked the privacy however, be advised that it is very remote and down a narrow road. As another reviewer wrote, we did see a few stink bugs but no where near an infestation as they indicated. You cannot get rid of stink bugs. We have experience with them and do not blame the owner for the 3 that we saw. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the shower is very small. I think in a place as nice as this cottage they would have put in a bigger shower. With that said we do recommend the cottage.

We stayed in the Twinleaf cottage. It was perfect. Everything you might need was included: kitchen supplies, bathrobe, hair dryer, quality toiletries, even the fall decorations added to the coziness. We were greeted by many deer. For city people this was a treat! A swing at the end of the road overlooking the ridge was a peaceful place for morning coffee. Location was a quick drive to downtown restaurants and shops and other local attractions. We highly recommend and will stay again if in the area.

If a problem arises, and you bring it to the hosts/owners attention, you can expect poor customer service.Should the owners have treated us kindly and fairly, we would not be writing this review. The place is very nice, as you can see in the pictures they provide. However, we experienced an infestation of large stink bugs inside the house. We spent the first 2 hours we arrived solely killing stink bugs. They were on the windows, floors, ceilings, countertop, linens, etc.We brought it to the hosts’ attention. She came to the cottage and was clearly annoyed with us.She had an attitude and made statements that demonstrated she thought we were over-reacting.It was very uncomfortable. She offered to put us in another cottage but we explained that the other cottages (3 of them located next door) probably had the same problem and these cottages were quite different than the superior/more expensive one we had booked…which had the only view of the mountains. She did not offer to go check to see if the other cottages also had a bug infestation. The owners should have been aware of the large bugs before we arrived,as there were hundreds inside. With that said, a little understanding from the owner would have gone a long way. When we said we would do our best to clear the room of them, spend the night, and let her know in the morning what we would do, she just stared at us, turned and walked out the door.No apologies, no goodbye, and not one pleasantry was expressed the entire time she was there. Nor was there any apology for the inconvenience and less than enjoyable experience during or after our stay. We spent the rest of the evening trying to engage in activities for short amounts of time outside the cottage (sitting by the fire, going to a restaurant), and each time we returned, we had to get rid of 10-20 more bugs. They were hiding out in the cracks and crevices and would creep out a few at a time.We got rid of at least 150-200 stink bugs.We were supposed to be there 3 nights however, due to the bug problem,we let the owner know we wanted to check out the next morning. It took 4 emails to get responses back regarding reimbursement for the 2 nights stay we didn’t use.She also tried to charge us an extra $50 surcharge for staying only 1 night and after reminding her it was not our fault that we had to leave early, she finally refunded the $50 back.We would have expected not only to be taken advantage of with the $50 surcharge, but for the owners to realize this was not an adequate experience and probably should have reduced the room rate. This was my husband’s birthday getaway celebration and it was stressful and inconvenient in many ways.We had driven 2.5 hours to stay here. We had to pack up the next morning (including refrigerated groceries) and find a hotel in town.I walked around inside with my shoes on all evening so as not to step on the stink bugs, didn’t take my clothes out of my suitcase to hang up, etc. We didn’t sleep well that night.I also had spent t
