Holiday Inn Express Lewiston

For most of our stay, the hotel was great—the staff was kind, the accommodations were comfortable, and the location was ideal. I especially loved the convenience of the restaurant next door. We had booked a room for over a week while attending the World Series, and everything seemed to be going smoothly—until the final day. On the day of my son's championship game—the biggest game of his life—I received an unexpected call from the General Manager, Ron. He informed me that they had overbooked the room and asked me if I would go ahead and move, stating that another guest had specifically requested it for their special weekend. After spending more than seven days in the same space, this was a frustrating request, but what made it worse was the way it was handled. Ron pressured me into moving, placing more importance on the incoming guest's preference than on our situation. He did refund me for the night's stay after I moved, but it was not about the money, it was about the treatment of the guest and treating everyone like they are important is the first rule of customer service. The staff/Ron should have checked the reservations for that specific room and not put me in it if it was promised to someone else. This is very basic hotel management. For baseball families, superstition is real—if you're winning, you don’t change anything. I get it that not everyone is an athlete and understand superstitions. While the type of room didn’t matter to me, the principle did. Unfortunately, Ron dismissed this entirely, making it clear that the other guest's request took priority and I should move because it was THEIR special day (apparently not mine). The front desk associate, on the other hand, was extremely apologetic, clearly disagreeing with how the situation was managed. To make matters worse, after moving rooms, I walked by as a maintenance worker openly rooting for the opposing team (which is not the issue at all) but then I hear him telling them to "go beat our team A$$" and stating our team didn’t deserve to win as we were undefeated and that needed to be broken. It is ok to root for whomever you like, but to be openly rude with me standing there in my baseball shirt for the opposing team that he was openly telling them to go beat our A$$, was unacceptable. If you're a baseball family, this hotel may not be the best choice—especially when it comes to respect for guests during important events.

Quick trip checked in at 11pm and was out by 7am

Nice place

I booked this hotel for the pool and hot tub that were shown online. We got to the hotel and there was no hot tub, we were told the pool was heated but it is was cold. I would of booked somewhere else if I had known there was no hot tub. Other than that the staff was very friendly and our room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Blinds are completely broken, sorry. Got there, blinds wouldn't open. Desk clerk tried, failed. Asked repeatedly for them to be fixed. Was told they are just broken. No repair offered, no discount offered. Was disability access room. Only way for my wife to see out was to hold the blind up from her wheelchair. to see out.

I enjoy staying here when in town, things are clean and quiet
