Die Teil der Toilette, wo alles abfließt (Geruchsverschkuss) war sehr dreckig, fast schwarz. Ansonsten alles sauber.
Das Hotel liegt in einer Fußgängerzone, in der es um das Hotel auf 150 m fünf (oder waren es sogar sechs?) Dönerladen gibt. Wenn man das Fenster öffnet, riecht es entsprechend. Abends haben sich Jugendlichen / junge Erwachsene in der Fußgängerzone vor dem Hotel versammelt. Diese waren recht laut.

Für ein Spiel in der BayArena suchten wir ein Zimmer unweit des Stadions und fanden das Hotel Sechzehn, was sich als Volltreffer herausstellte. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich im 3-Sterne Haus begrüßt, haben kurz den Meldezettel unterschrieben und wurden dabei noch mit ein paar hilfreichen Informationen versorgt. Unser ruhiges Zimmer im 3.Stock war klein, gemütlich eingerichtet (das Springbox-Bett ermöglichte einen geruhsamen Schlaf) und sehr sauber. Auch das Badezimmer (hier erwartet eine kleine grüne Gummi-Ente den Gast in der Dusche…) klein und sauber, erfüllte seine Funktion bestens. Das Frühstücksbüffet, sonntags bis 11:00 Uhr!!!, hat auch überzeugt, frische Brötchen, leckeres Landbrot, dazu verschiedene Wurst- und Käsesorten, sowie Marmeladen und auf Wunsch auch Eierspeisen, alles topp. Im netten small-Talk mit dem Besitzer erfuhren wir auch etwas über den außergewöhnlichen Namen und die Geschichte des kleinen Hotels. Das Hotel Sechzehn liegt verkehrsgünstig unweit des Bahnhofs Leverkusen-Opladen, in der näheren Nachbarschaft befinden sich mehrere Kneipen und Döner-Imbisse. Parkplätze sollen für 8,00 Euro/Nacht verfügbar sein; wir hatten das Glück direkt um die Ecke einen kostenfreien Parkplatz zu finden. Den Preis von 115,00 Euro pro Nacht inkl. Frühstück fanden wir am Karnevals-Wochenende bzw. beim Bayer04-Heimspiel mehr als fair.

Ein sehr gemütliches und familiäres Hotel, sehr zentral in Opladen gelegen. Ich habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehle es gerne weiter! Perfekt war auch die Möglichkeit, in der nahe gelegenen Tiefgarage parken zu können, für einen geringen Aufpreis. Das Hotel liegt in einer Fußgängerzone! Man kann mit dem Wagen zum Ausladen zwar kurz in der Nähe des Eingangs halten, muss dann aber sehen, das Fahrzeug entweder flugs in die Tiefgarage zu bringen oder auf einen der nahegelegenen Parkplätze, etwa auf den P+R-Parkplatz am Bahnhof. Das sollte gleich beim Einchecken geklärt werden! In der direkten Nachbarschaft, gegenüber und nebendran gibt es mehrere Bistros und Restaurants, wo man günstig und gut essen kann. Das Frühstücksbüfett ließ ebenfalls keine Wünsche offen. Mein Aufenthalt dort war auf jeden Fall eine runde Sache.

Ich habe Berufsbedingt 2 Monate in dem Hotel übernachtet / gewohnt. Ein außerordentlich freundliches Personal sowie ein sauberer und ordentlicher Empfang war jeden Morgen / jeden Abend anzutreffen. Aufgrund meiner Arbeitszeit musste ich das Hotel vor Buffet Eröffnung verlassen. Schnell wurde mir ein Lunch Paket angeboten, welches mir am Abend vorher vor die Tür gestellt wurde. Frisch belegte Brote die auch am nächsten morgen noch total lecker waren, begleitet von Obst / Gemüse, einem Joghurt und einem Getränk - für mich vollkommen ausreichend. Auch mit offenen Fenstern eine ruhige Atmosphäre, saubere Zimmer und bequeme Boxspringbetten. Die Nähe zu diversen Einkaufsläden sowie die direkte Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel kamen mir sehr gelegen. Ein durchaus weiterzuempfehlendes Hotel. Alles gute !
