Hôtel d'Anjou

My recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. First off, the room lacked air conditioning, making it incredibly difficult to sleep during a stuffy Parisian summer night. Opening the windows offered no relief; there was still insufficient ventilation, leading to an entire night of discomfort and frustration. To make matters worse, the hotel is situated right next to a busy main road, and the room's soundproofing was absolutely terrible. Even late at night, the constant noise from traffic, car horns, and passersby made it impossible to relax or get any peace. I was faced with an impossible choice: suffer from the stifling heat with the windows closed, or endure the unbearable street noise with them open. A good night's sleep was completely out of the question. Furthermore, shortly after checking in, I developed an itchy skin reaction, leading me to suspect a bed bug infestation in the room. This level of hygiene is simply unacceptable for any hotel. I promptly inspected the bedding and discovered what appeared to be suspicious marks. However, the hotel staff made no proactive effort to address my concerns or show any regard for guest health. In summary, this stay was a nightmare of heat, noise, and anxiety, utterly failing to meet even the most basic standards of comfort and cleanliness. To compound the issue, the GTC conference was in full swing, making it impossible to switch hotels. I will absolutely not be returning to this hotel, nor would I recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and peaceful trip.
