Sinofield turned out to be a fantastic place for our uni buddy reunion and milestone birthday celebrations. The property is beautiful- stunning creek and hanging swamp, and the accommodation was cosy and warm. Having a access to the dining room and a place to reheat one dinner for “curry night” worked a treat. The venue is also close to great restaurants and cafes (the Alexandra Hotel and Bowery were excellent for a group). Lee and Feng made us feel very welcome and Feng’s tea ceremony is highly recommended. This would be a fun conference venue too.

A very clean retreat. The place was very quiet on most of the days we were there. The water from the shower took a while to heat up. The bathroom flooring can be warmed up with a flick of a switch. I booked directly via the retreat’s website. Check in and out was a breeze. The retreat is not that huge, but is big enough for a nice stroll along its paths. Some of the facilities around the retreat are somewhat neglected, such as the playground, but the areas that matter were all generally clean and welcoming. There is also a small shared kitchen pantry that guests can use. Having your own car would help to save time when visiting this area. However, there is a bus stop just outside the retreat, although I suspect the timing of the bus is not frequent. Leura Mall, where you can find most of the eateries and shops is a short 5 minute drive away. I would recommend this place if you like nature and quiet.

This place is immaculate. Very basic but all that is needed. Doonahs are incredibly comfortable. The grounds are great to explore. Hard to make sense what this place actually was or is today. Management very accommodating. Value for money is.

Not far off Leura road but very secluded and quiet. Rooms are a bit weird on first entry, with two separate rooms, one of which seems redundant with only small fridge, tea making and a coat rack in the spartan room, but does give you room to spread out i guess. Actual bedroom is comfy with wall TV. Twin air conditioner/inverters and heated bathroom floors are welcome in winter. Bathroom is clean and modern. Bed & pillows were comfortable we found despite some negative reviews. Basically, the rooms match the price for Blue Mtns, ie very good. However, it is the staff who put this up rating-wise. Super helpful, findable and friendly front desk, going out of their way to solve any issues.
