Mount Errigal Hotel, Conference & Leisure Centre

The staff were all lovely and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The decor is a little dated but everything is to a high standard. Only problem is that check in is quite late but check out is early

SHOCKING , hotel management. We stayed for 3 days, and every day, there was an issue with the manager and others . Arrived for dinner later (8.30 pm) on Monday night, and the manager asked a friend her order and said, "What sort of woman orders a well-done steak?" Sexiest comment from Manager . He tried to brush it off but kept antagonising her throughout the night. I spoke to him and said, "Stay away from her," as she was getting upset and rightly so . He walked away and went straight towards her and said, "What is your issue?" What way is that to speak to a resident staying at this hotel. On Tuesday evening , he tried to remove not 1 but 2 autistic children from their tables with their parents ,those children were in tears they way he spoke to them , who were sitting quietly from the time they arrived . Later that evening, he spoke to our group of kids, all under 12 years of age girls about wearing pyjamas around the hotel . He said, " You dont know who's watching them." Suggesting something untoward. Which we accepted and moved on. But shortly after, he constantly told them to change appropriately. When there were other boys running about the hotel with no Tshirts on at all and nothing said to them. On Wednesday morning , i booked my daughter into the restaurant for breakfast as I wasn't feeling hungry . As my daughter is a child , I got her breakfast for her and she offered me 1/4 slice of apple , the receptionist Nora then proceeded to come over to me , threaten me to get out of the restaurant because I didnt pay for breakfast and said shes been watching me on CCTV and they were only allowing my daughter to stay and sit with strangers in which I replied she is a minor and I won't be removing myself from the restaurant until she finishes her breakfast . I'm absolutely disgusted at this hotels management, and they have a ZERO POLICY on everything according to the manager Carl. We won't be back to this hotel ever again. These aren't false accusations as the hotel will make it out to be. There will be more reviews like this from concerned parents .

In my 42 years i have never experienced a stay like this. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here for a family hotel or booking the Foyle cup. The suits/management are a height of ignorance. Banging tables. Making kids cry. Putting autistic kids out of restaurant. Discriminating against. Arguing back with customers not backing down with shoulders up. Completely unreasonable on all levels. This went on for 3 days. I couldn’t believe what I was watching. I spoke to different people throughout my stay and the feedback was a disgrace. I’m totally dumbfounded.
