Great location, central, but nice and peaceful. Ryan was very helpful throughout and was always available with advice and guidance. The room was comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean with a nice sized en-suite. The breakfast cooked by Lynda was excellent and always served with a friendly chat and a smile. In short a fantastic place to stay in Lerwick. Thank you Ryan and all of the staff. Darren

We had a delightful stay at the FortCharlotte guest house. Ryan and Anita were very helpful before we even arrived, offering to keep our bags as we were coming off the ferry from Orkney, early in the morning. As it turned out, they went one better, as our room was all ready for us! Such a bonus after a long journey. The room was delightful and breakfast was delicious on both of the days we stayed. Since the owners were away, Kellie and Lynne took wonderful care of us, helping us with their extensive local knowledge. I foolishly left my guide and note books behind and they very kindly delivered it to the next place we were staying. So nice!

A lovely and welcoming B&B, very central and a good place to walk the town from. I drove and found the instructions from the airport clear and easy to get to. Breakfast was fantastic (smoked salmon and porridge especially) and hosts friendly and helpful.

My first visit to the Shetlands (for work, but I managed to fit in some pleasure) and I was very impressed. If I get the opportunity to go back I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Fort Charlotte Guesthouse again. It's a great location, right in the centre of Lerwick, the rooms are very comfortable and Kelly and Ryan most welcoming and helpful.

Absolutely perfect guest house - really comfortable, well appointed, fabulous breakfast and so welcoming. Being able to sit in the breakfast room in the evening was lovely for a single traveller. Location was great. Very peaceful, best night's sleep for ages! Highly recommend

My husband and I were passing through Lerwick from Fair Isle trying to get back to the states because of a family emergency. We were scheduled to be there later in the week but all plans changed. Ryan and his staff couldn’t have been kinder. It truly felt like a respite in the middle of a very difficult week. The room was lovely and quiet, the bed comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. Thank you all for your care and great kindness.

Friendly and welcoming. Lovely room with a great view of Lerwick. Very clean and comfortable. Could not of asked for anything more. Definitely would stay again. They kept me updated about our arrival. It was easy to get into with a keyless entry. Above and beyond expectations.
