This hotel is a truly special place to relax and recharge. The quiet, secluded location surrounded by nature is stunning, especially with the view of the mountains. The entire team is exceptionally warm, attentive, and helpful. The food is not only delicious but also creative, and there are great options for those with special dietary needs. The wellness area with its pool, saunas, steam bath, and beautiful relaxation rooms invites you to unwind. I particularly enjoyed the daily yoga sessions, meditations, and the wide range of sports on offer. All in all, a place where you immediately feel at home. I'll definitely be back.

So, I've been receiving the newsletter for years – now I'm finally there. A fantastic hotel: The location is—of course—unbeatable. In the middle of the mountains at over 1000 meters, calves in front of the balcony...a dream. The spa is absolutely fantastic, the rooftop pool is great (not for lap swimming, but for splashing around/cooling off). You can book a lot of extras, including massages, cosmetic treatments, etc. (Thanks to Ikram!) We (like almost all guests) booked 3/4 of the culinary package. The food was very, very good every evening. You have a choice for each course, one of which is always vegan (or at least vegetarian). We'd especially like to mention the beef tartare and salmon tartare, the pigeon... and the desserts (pavlova!). The BBQ evening could certainly be improved significantly in terms of cuisine. There was a small snack in the afternoon: it was always quite a lot, wow. But a quiche every day? Really? The rooms are quite large, very homely thanks to the wood, and clean. And so quiet there, thanks to the prominent location. The service is amazing: Dennis, who welcomed us so warmly, Michi, who rocks the restaurant crew with Cassandra and Petar, and the other great colleagues. THANK YOU

Unfortunately disappointed I didn't want to believe that the negative reviews were true, everything looked so good on the website The hotel is showing its age in some places On the rooftop we were afraid of injuring ourselves on a splinter of wood or a screw in the wooden floor, or of being hit by a broken, much too unstable parasol because of the wind, and then they closed it off... I expected a lot more from the yoga. Since it is advertised as a yoga hotel, I would have expected the yoga area to be well maintained (broken lamps and an old trampoline are next to the outdoor training area) and that the yoga teacher would arrive on time and that mats would be ready (participants discussed where the mats were, but unfortunately they were old and brittle/crumbly). We searched for a long time for an adults-only yoga hotel, but there was a toddler and a baby in the hotel and at mealtimes, and there was screaming on the first evening... When we mentioned this to reception, we were told that we were of course right and were offered a massage :-) A day later, the website had obviously been edited, as there is currently no reference to adults-only. (The owner also has two children under 12, which was why they said adults only is from 12) The food was very meat-heavy, with a BBQ in the evening... does that go with yoga? The vegan dish was a meat substitute, I would have liked more innovation there. All in all, I was very sad, not relaxed at all. We then did our own yoga via YouTube (thanks to Mady Morrison). The location was really nice, the outside area used to be very nice, but with a few small repairs and replacing the weathered parasols, getting rid of the broken furniture that was lying around everywhere, and the broken toilet on the rooftop, it would be nice again. Everything we complain about can already be read in older reviews here. We find that particularly sad :-(

2018 waren wir zum ersten Mal im Holzhotel Forsthofalm, damals hat uns das Konzept, das Team und die Speisen überzeugt. Dieses Jahr leider nicht mehr. Vielleicht hatten wir auch nur Pech, da in dieser Woche viel Personalwechsel stattgefunden hat. Kurzum es ist aktuell kein Teamgedanke und Zusammenhalt für den Gast zu spüren. Die Seniorchefin ist nach wie vor sehr Kundenorientiert, das aktuelle Führungsteam ist freundlich - mehr jedoch nicht - absolut keine Vorbildfunktion für ihr Team - Kaffeetrinkend mit dem Smartphone am Stammtisch sitzen geht leider gar nicht. Das Servicepersonal im Restaurant/Barbereich war trotz des Durcheinanders immer sehr freundlich und motiviert. Ohne die aktuelle Restauranleiterin wäre dieser Betrieb aufgeschmissen. Die Rezeption bräuchte dringend jemand mit professionellem Auftreten und Erfahrung in der Hotelerie besitzt. Sein Unwissen und die eigene Unsicherheit mit merkwürdigen Bemerkungen zu untermalen geht leider meist schief. Cleaningpersonal superfreundlich. Aktueller Zustand verschiedener Bereiche: SPA: gesperrte WCs, stinkender Siphon im offenen Ruhebereich, Sprudelfunktion auf der Poolbank defekt. Offene Küche bzw. der Kaminabzug ist abends eine Zumutung, z.Teil hat das ganze Hotel wie ein rauchendes Lagerfeuer gestunken. Alle Speisen waren qualitativ wirklich super und das „Sharing“ Konzept witzig. Im Gegensatz dazu war das Salatbuffet sehr Basic. Der Nachmittagssnack war ok, aber nicht Sterneverdächtig. Wir hatten die 3/4 Pension gebucht, an einem Abend das 4 Gängemenü mit einem Fondueplausch zu wechseln geht leider nur gegen einen Aufpreis von 28€ p.P. Kurzum unsere Erwartungen waren leider zu hoch. Wir hatten dennoch eine schöne Urlaubswoche und wünschen der Forsthofalm weiterhin viel Erfolg. Preis-/Leistung
