Hotel Royal Crans-Montana Hotel Royal is a gem hidden and tucked away from noise, crowds, located in front of the mountains and connected to a pedestrian wheelchair friendly footpath to the town of Montana. The people of Hotel Royal made our stay enjoyable always ready to help with entry into and getting out of the hotel entry full of steps. The side entry allowed our wheelchair in and out of the hotel in discretion. Our deluxe room with south balcony is spacious with a relaxing view of the mountains and trees. The fourth floor was an excellent height. It only goes up to 5 floors. The terraces outside, facing the mountains were also relaxing for lunch, drinks or simply enjoying. The restaurant served excellent quality food with very reasonable prices. We chose lobster tails for our first lunch. Two delicious quality lobster tails with excellent tasting and well prepared kombu Japanese style seaweed and burette cheese. Our only concern is that the kombu is another meal by itself and was not compatible with the lobster tails. The burrata cheese was another meal by itself. So it was 3 separate meals in one meal. Too much for the lobster tails. For our second meal we chose the fish entirely prepared in salt served for 2 persons. What a delight to have such a generous size fish, well prepared, accompanied with perfectly cooked vegetables and potatoes. Simple flavouring and fresh tasting. Breakfast was standard with a lot of sweet cake choices, however, additional costs to get an omelet or a few other things. I read some reviews on the internet and it was sad to see how this hotel is under rated. Everything is clean, looking well kept with its abundant wood and refreshing atmosphere with relaxing views of the mountains and nature.
