Masyaa Allah, the experience of staying in an iconic hotel full of history was amazing. It felt like I was in the era of the Asian-African Conference. All the facilities were decorated with paintings from the Asian-African Conference which were neatly displayed... my favorite was Charly Chaplin 😍

It is a historic hotel, and one of the rare hotels in the sense that you can experience a historic atmosphere. However, the guest room building, which retains the historic atmosphere, faces Asia Africa Street, and the windows are not soundproofed, so the noise of cars and motorcycles passing by on the street is very loud, day and night. Some of the reception staff did not speak English well, and there were times when communication was difficult.
Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options. The lobby has been completely renovated with the historic Art Deco atmosphere in mind.

Old hotel with lots of history. Rooms could be better maintained. The ambience makes up for other short falls. If you are taking the Agro Wilis, it is in the perfect location, next to the Gubeng rail station. A very short walk only taking a couple of minutes.
