Philharmonic concert in a small setting - very pleasant and harmonious. A sumptuous and very tasty coffee set was included. It would have deserved more guests (marketing). The only thing that was a little weak was the wine by the glass menu, but the service was very quick and courteous!

Reception: Service is excellent, very courteous and friendly. Room furnishings: Classy, but a bit old-fashioned and showing their age. The beds were comfortable. Sockets could be retrofitted. Cleanliness: Dust has not been removed from all areas. Small spots could be repaired here and there on the ceiling, on the walls, in the bathtub with shower and in the elevator.

I have stayed in this hotel several times now and am always happy about the "certain" something in the ambience. The service is very good and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, so much so that I am always annoyed that I get full too quickly. Slight deductions for the rooms and bathrooms. Instead of a bathtub with shower, I would be more pleased with a spacious shower cubicle.

The Hotel Fürstenhof boasts a very central and good location on the edge of Leipzig's old town. The building has the elegant charm of a grand hotel of the past. You are greeted in a friendly manner at reception and the staff are attentive to their guests. We were given room 307. The room is sufficiently large and the furniture is elegant. The TV reception was not the best, unfortunately there were constant sound cutouts. The cleaning team should work a little more thoroughly in the wet room area. Calcified fittings and slight mold on the silicone joints in the bathtub show a lack of time or thoroughness. The layer of dust on the makeup mirror confirms this impression. The dented trash can and the analogue scales should be replaced as soon as possible. The sauna area is a little old and should be modernized a little soon. Conclusion: The hotel is great value for money, especially thanks to offers on various booking websites. Unfortunately, the special offers seem to be reducing the hotel's margin. However, for the premier class of the German hotel industry - the hotel advertises itself as 5 stars superior - more investment would have to be made in cleanliness.

It's a shame that it wasn't clear on the internet that the restaurant was closed. In the winter garden we were served chips, currywurst and schnitzel as an alternative in the evening, but it wasn't the experience we would have wanted in a star hotel. Unfortunately, the breakfast didn't match the category and the price either: rolls like the day before, pineapple pieces dried out, sausage anything but fresh, the freshly prepared scrambled eggs were solid like they usually come out of containers. In the room, which was OK and very quiet, we would have preferred a free bottle of water for the night instead of the evening chocolate bar. The staff were extremely friendly everywhere. There's nothing to complain about.
