"The hotel is good and the transportation is convenient. There is a train station and a supermarket about 200 meters away. There is a small cloakroom in the room where luggage can be stored. There is also an induction cooker. The service staff at the front desk are very friendly."
"The hotel is quite away from the town area. But it is quite worth to stay especially for a group with big family. I travelled to sydney with a total of 7 persons. We booked a room in Garden Lodge, the room is quite big and simple. Location abit far from main town, nothing to go nearby the hotel. Only has a 7-11 beside the hotel."
"Check in was great I went out for dinner and when I returned I opened the door to find the complete window frame and window smashed and my belongings scattered everywhere. I raced down to reception to advise the person on the front desk only to be told that there had been a 3 hour blackout at the motel and they were sorry 😡
I had to prompt the receptionist to give me another room which he did then he came up took a look and said let me know if anything is missing & walked away, do I started collecting my things only to find that my TAG heuer watch had been stolen so I lived into room 101 from 107 couldn’t sleep thinking I was going to get burgled the second time. Upon checking out I advised a different receptionist that my watch had been stolen he said we are very sorry but I will talk to management to see what we can offer you that was at 10am this morning and haven’t heard a word from the motel management 🤷♂️ absolutely disgusted"
"I was lucky enough to have my room ready in advance, before 2PM and since my flight arrived early in the morning, that was really nice !
Cathy was also a wonderful person in general, throughout my stay.
The room is pretty big, with a sink and a fridge. 👌🏻
The room I had is next to the common area however people weren't too loud, especially in the evening despite it roughly being the dinner time so that was nice.
The area is very chill, a few schools and houses around so not loud at night. It is, however, situated on the planes' route and they are pretty low in the sky since it gets close to the airport. But there aren't any at night (around midnight until 6AM I would say) and it's not every 5 minutes either.
The sun set pretty early at that time of the year and to me, I felt like the neighborhood lacked lights for people to walk around but it wasn't much of a bother and not something the lodge can change, so just a heads-up to have a small light/enough battery on the phone to use when coming back from your day trip activities."
"According to the local Chinese, the Camperdown area is an area with low housing prices, and of course the level of safety is no different from other places. We stayed here for one night as we were going to the University of Sydney, which was right next door, and the price was right. It is worth reminding that this hotel requires 10 o'clock check out. The bed is very soft, the quilt is not a quilt cover, but two layers of sheets are folded, of course it is not unique to them, and it was also done in Cairns Hilton later."
"1.The bed on one side, felt like it had a broken spring because it was like sinking into a bean bag.
Not good.
2.The bathroom had a terrible smell coming from the drain in the shower,it was bad enough we had to call reception to come n try n sort it out,the staff did a quick fix,but it was not ideal, they did offer to move us to another room, but we had unpacked and settled in.we just opened a window and tried to get fresh air through the room.
3. The fire alarm went off for a short time and we were told to wait for further instructions, still waiting and we checked out yesterday lol. We tried to ring reception from our room to find out more about the situation,no answer. So we dialled out of our room and rang Rydges and got through to them that way.
4. The day of checkout, was anytime before 11am, at 9 am I was in bed,my partner was in the bathroom, the door opens,no knock to let us know someone was at the door, the cleaner just walked in and then starts apologizing when she notices me in bed,I was NOT HAPPY.
5.Went down to the buffet breakfast, they couldn't find us/ our name n room number and had to check with reception to confirm we were booked in & paying guests before we could be seated.
My partner did enjoy his bacon & eggs breakfast, the yoghurt I had was rather bland.
The staff were very helpful and respectful when we needed them to be and they did give us a free breakfast to compensate
But the negatives make me question whether I'd stay there again
The positives are the location ( which is great ) and the helpful staff who were friendly and polite, but they can only do so much in certain situations."
