Great location
Lovely building in a great location. No parking but street parking around the corner. Lovely bathroom with a huge roll top bath but not enough hot water to enjoy it, a shower would be more practical.

We had just the one night at the Silk House - and what a great night it was. Nick the owner was the most convivial of hosts and we had a great night in the bar singing, dancing and generally making merry. The room itself was quirky and comfortable although a little too warm. (Couldn't really open the window as it was on a main road). But otherwise a great stay! Thank you Nick!

Very comfortable room in a delightfully quirky hotel. Nick the owner was the most convivial of hosts and made us very welcome. (Great night in the bar having a proper sing song with Nick's lovely friends and great choice of music). Will definitely be back!

Highly recommend Silk House
A clean, comfortable, and convenient hotel right in the town centre. Very quiet and plenty of free on-street parking just around the corner. Modernised facilities in an historic building.
