Great stay as always at the Miners. The staff are always very friendly and the food/drink choices are decent. Rooms are clean and comfy. I must've had stayed over 20 times now and really enjoy staying here. It's not luxury but I'd definitely recommend it as a reasonable place to stay.

Affordable accommodation, great pub - real ale and basic food (burgers, etc) that is filling and reasonably priced. I especially liked the local (Leeds?) real ale. Has the footie on TV. Excellent to stay overnight, or just to use as a pub.

The walk from the train station is a bit of a trek up them stairs. The toilet and bathroom are separate to the room. The breakfast was good, the room is warm. You don't get wifi in the rooms. The price is a little steep considering all of these factors, but that is just my opinion. Staff seem relatively friendly. There were 2 regular drinkers sitting at a table with the receptionist when I checked in, when the receptionist was getting my keys for checking in, the 2 fellas were sniggering and laughing whilst looking straight at me, I didn't like that at all.
