An authentic Cambodian experience. Truly the kindest and the nicest people in the world: The Meas family. Linda with her excellent English and a huge smile in spite of working endless hours running the Homestay, cooking and running the Weaving Centre on the property. Phonn and Oun are mum and dad and talk freely about surviving the Khmer Rouge. It is a privilege and an honour to know this family. The food is excellent and the location is good. They make soaps and teas and sell these. At the weaving centre...well you have to see for yourself. The scarves are gorgeous and are pure cotton. Now they are making dish towels and beach towels that are excellent. We have been staying here since 2017 and love it. It has our highest recommendation. It is an interesting and VERY happy experience.

Meas family homestay is absolutely fantastic. Linda is so thoughtful and hardworking. She made our stay so comfortable. Her fluency in English is very useful. The place has all the fruit trees and we had them fresh for the breakfast. She also cooked a delicious meal for us. Very quiet and peaceful place. Love it.

Don’t really know where to start- I came to stay here with Bookbridge and was greeted on arrival by Linda and her family! The place is bliss, the service amazing and we were all made to feel at home and at ease instantly! The food was made with love and super tasty! Definitely recommend if you want something special in a rural setting!

This is the home of a wonderful Khmer family. Staying here, you will learn so much about the culture and the people. Location is excellent. You can see a weaving center on the property and the family makes wonderful teas and soaps which are treasures. The scarves are beautiful, custom-designed cotton scarves. Great gifts. Owners of the Homestay are amazing people. Meals are so good and are traditional Khmer but designed with all cultures in mind. We have stayed here countless times and we love it. It is simple, not fancy but who needs fancy?

We had a great time, the family was very welcoming, food is really good. Among homestays we've been around the country, this one really stands out. We had nice chat with many family members, Linda speaks excellent English and pleasant to chat with. We'll be back

I recently had the honour and privilege of spending four fabulous nights at this welcoming rural homestay. I choose to stay longer than originally planned as once I had settled into the peaceful way of life it became difficult to move on. One of the best things about the Meas Family Homestay are the kind-hearted, hospitable, welcoming family who live here, which includes two friendly dogs. The main person looking after bookings and guests is the highly affable Linda. She speaks great English and is very efficient and quick to respond to emails about booking. Linda and her family work tirelessly and are up before dawn each day looking after their farm. It was melon growing season during my stay and each morning I would help to collect and pack the fruit ready for sale. The very reasonable room rate includes three delicious meals. All varied freshly prepared Khmer dishes. A number of the ingredients come directly from the family farm and vegetarian options are available with notice. My portion sizes were so generous that I had to ask Linda for smaller lunches as I was eating too much! Meals are eaten outside in a comfortable fan-cooled area. Your evening meal may be taken with the family but social distancing was sensibly observed between family and guests. Free chilled water is readily available to take to your room and there is usually a pot of herbal tea or coffee to help yourself to. Free bicycles are available for guests to use and Linda can supply a map of the local area for self-guided exploration of the peaceful surrounding countryside. Next door to the homestay is a weaving centre producing beautiful and very reasonably priced export quality products, and a local school. Guests have the opportunity to visit both with Linda should they wish. The homestay contains several small to medium sized wooden and concrete bungalows for guests. I believe that several of these are ensuite. Check when booking if this is a preference and Linda will do her best to accommodate requests subject to availability. My cosy wooden bungalow was spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. Rooms are fan-cooled and showers cold water. Mosquitoes aren’t a major problem but I’d recommend bringing insect repellent for the evenings. The homestay is easy to reach. Travelling from Phnom Penh it was recommended that I use the Ekareach bus company. They ply the route between Phnom Penh and Kampot. When boarding the bus simply tell the depot office staff and driver that you would like to be dropped off in Angtasom (approximately halfway between Phnom Penh and Kampot). They understood my request perfectly. Once you alight in Angtasom approach a tuk-tuk driver and phone Linda. When she answers just hand your phone to the tuk-tuk driver and Linda will organise the rest. Simple as that! Within minutes and for just a couple of dollars you’ll be arriving at this idyllic rural abode. When I checked out Linda kindly booked me the front seat of a very comfortable air-conditioned s
