We came for two rounds of golf and an overnight stay. This was our second visit. It’s a brilliant venue. The two golf courses are in excellent condition. The addition of the pizza bar on the terrace is great. Our evening meal was very nice and our breakfast set us up for the day. All the staff were attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful scenery and pleasant out look over golf courses. Very pleasant reception area and entrance to hotel. Excellent parking facilities. Reception and bar/ restaurant staff very friendly and helpful.Excellent bar service and restaurant service excellent. Especially the head waiter Hugo and breakfast waitress Evening menu/ food was excellent. Breakfast wasn’t great. Full English wasn’t edible due to over re heating and hard and dry. Best go to breakfast at opening time as other guests told us or stick to cold buffet. Room large but needs updating to 2025 decor and furniture a little worn out. Spa . Entrance very poor condition.Found staff very unfriendly and uninviting . Changing rooms need updating and not very clean.. many lockers were out of order. Pool area needs a clean up and redecorating . Pool was good size and easy access but again needs a good clean.. around edges / waterline . Badly behaved teenage boys in pool .. very noisy and annoying swimmers but spa staff didn’t intervene even though male swimmers were complaining and a pregnant woman got kicked by teenage doing handstands .

We only live 4/5 mins from SBN but stay here 3/4 times a year the food from evening meal to breakfast is by far the best in the surrounding areas ( we have probably visited everywhere as we are big foodies ) cannot praise enough really staff always polite. Thoroughly enjoy our time there and hopefully it will not change !!

Stayed here on a two day golf break and had an excellent stay. The golf courses were very good (except the bunkers needed more sand). Hotel room was fine although a bit warm during this heat wave. Food was EXCELLENT as were the staff. Thank you to all

We really enjoyed our stay. We got a dinner, room and breakfast deal on a Wednesday. The pool area was quiet enough that there was no scraps over loungers ;) The pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were lovely. The beds were really comfy, and our rooms spacious and clean. The food and service were exceptional - thank you. The bars and restaurant decor is lovely, with nice views of the golf course.

We had our wedding celebration here in March and we could not have wanted for more or asked for better. Everyone we dealt with from the wedding team to the food and beverage team, were excellent. A couple of people stand out - Victoria on the wedding team absolutely got what we were trying to achieve and answered our many queries promptly, nothing was too much trouble and she was brilliant. The sommelier who helped us choose the wines for our celebration was fantastic, his knowledge was amazing and he took time to explain and discuss the options. Also, the F&B team on the day went above and beyond, we could not have asked for more, they were just excellent.

I stayed here for one night with a spa day booked the next day as part of the Relax and Unwind package. I will start with the positives: upon check in the receptionist was incredibly polite and kind, though at times this felt a bit OTT..and the hotel is lobby immaculately presented. Food provided in the sports bar was nice and good value, as was the breakfast the following day. The swimming pool changing facilities had ample amount of towels which you can just help yourself to, something I like because you always need more than one when at a spa. Things I think need looking at: the room was shockingly dusty in places and there were definitly parts of cleaning which needed doing more thoroughly, and the toilet brush was dirty. I've taken some photos of these but not of the latter because quite frankly it's disgusting. The room itself was lovely and spacious but the furniture is a little dated. The bed sheets had stains on them, the table also had scratch marks and the window frame had poor decorating marks too. The TV remote wasn't very effective. Despite asking for a fan there wasn't one and the air con wasn't the effective. The shower was basic and would come out boiling hot at times. As mentioned the towels provided at swimming were good but there were several lockers out of use and one out of the two non-disabled toilets was out of order. When the changing room was busy this proved to be a little inconvenient. The layout was also strange in that the sinks are situated round the other side but then the hand towels are back round opposite the toilet cubicles. Otherwise very clean and tidy. The showers in there were much more powerful and efficient than the one in the room. The swimming pool itself is standing height even at the deep end and freezing cold. The hot tub operates with a push button which seldom works and you have to get out to operate it because it's on the side wall. It was filthy at the bottom too. For my spa day staff seemed to prefer to chat to one another rather than deal with me when I arrived. I was told I'd need to pay a deposit for my gown, which is baffling as I've never had to do that at a spa before. A sunbed was reserved for me (though this wasn't necessary since it wasn't busy) but i actually moved to a different one because I was placed between two other groups and on a corner where people frequently walked past. Afternoon tea was served and the sandwiches were a little bland and stale. I had to ask for a hot tea to accompany it which is strange as afternoon tea nearly always comes with hot drinks. My treatment was a facial but I couldn't relax because the therapist spoke for most of it then when she was quiet she was very quick and firm with her massaging. There was also a lot of chatter and giggling outside and I'm sure she didn't last the full allocated treatment time. Overall I wouldn't choose to come back here and definitly disappointed considering how much I paid.

Quite disappointing for the price! We had to ask for water and then a hair dryer, which we believe should have been in the room. The room was very dated with old scratched furniture and badly stained carpet. We paid twice the advertised price on checkout because there was a big party on..... very confused by this statement. Air-conditioning was not working during our stay. We were given a dusty fan, which we couldn't use for health reasons. No replacement was available. Breakfast was very good, or this would be a 2 star review.

We were a group of 8 mature men on a 3 day golf break. The room had two double beds in abd was spotless. Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit(strawbs, melon, pineapple etc)and nuts as well as the full english range. We were on a dinner, B and B deal and the evening meal(3 course) was excellent. Asparagus starter with feta and a poached egg was super. Spa area clean and the gym is ridiculous with the amount of machines / kit. The Constable course is the hardest, hilly and tough if you struggle physically. Beer prices more than fair (£5-6 per pint). All the staff were on it and there were more than enough. All in all, couldnt fault it. Well done everyone.
