Beaverbrook

A big thank you to all the staff in the beautiful Beaverbrook spa. I couldn’t have asked for a more special day - glorious views, a delicious lunch and to top it all, a superb massage given by Lino. I hope to be back one dreamy day!

Arrogant and patronising - do not visit this Hotel/ Restaurant. Made feel unwelcome upon arrival at Beaverbrook for a Lunch

I sent this the management. Remi never even got back to me. Altered slightly for the review. The stay was a wedding present from our children. “Sunday cinema and sleep over club”. On arrival, everything looked incredible. As early, we went for a walk and then to the pool. Whilst walking at about 11.30am, we saw lots of smashed glasses and carnage in one of the pergolas. Obviously from the night before. Told staff. Still there later. Evening meal. Japanese. Sommelier was very helpful. Starters were great although delivery was a little adhoc even though I asked. Beef, scallops, spinach great Main course. Tempura turned up on its own. No plates to eat from. Asked dark haired waitress for plates. None came. Asked another waiter who brought plates over. Bland and boring and still no cod. Plates cleared. Mentioned cod. Dark haired girl said it coming. Non committal. New plates. 20 minutes later cod turned up. Was awful and way too late. Had black cod before. This was mushy and tasteless. Tall thin blond waitress very apologetic. The start of the meal was amazing. Ruined by the end. After sending the food back no one came over to find out our problem. We just walked out. Told the porter at movie night who said to complain. Went to the cinema and told no films. Once explained, a film was put on and popcorn supplied which was handy as still hungry. A few other things. Car charging did not happen. Car was still there until later with luggage. Drove car to garden room myself after a drink. Had shower in spa as room one just a trickle. Uncontrolled children kicking balls at us by the pool continually. Paying bill. Extra cocktails put on bill Wrong size wine. Nearly£60 overcharged. FOC pool drinks as a gesture. About that £60. No credit on meal. Even bland tempura left on bill. Surprised cod was taken off. Just to top this, I had a terrible nights sleep as my mind was replaying the day.

Very pleasant stay. Breakfast was a bit slow. Lovely spa and grounds. strange that they added a £68 service charge to the already very large bill, that was not included at the beginning. They also charged extra for water at breakfast even though breakfast was included.

What fantastic views and surroundings,we were treated by Bentley Hro to a breakfast at the garden room and wow the quality,selection and service was all 5 star. Were booked in july for a one night stay and if all as good as the other day will be booking for my wifes birthday.

Stunning property, fabulous accommodation, exceptional service. The spa treatments were top notch and the facilities clean and relaxing. The pools are a must! Had dinner in the Garden House- elegant and casual at the same time and the food was so delicious I returned again the next day. Finally a top tier get-away from the hustle and bustle of London; I have already booked a return trip! I stayed in the spa cottages- highly recommend as well, although any accommodation here would suit. Truly enjoyed and have not had service this good anywhere, to be honest! Go on and book, you won’t be disappointed!
