Pretty good

I was traveling with my elderly father and was disappointed to find that a room on the 1st floor STILL required him to do a set of stairs. (No elevator, which is never an issue with 1st floor rooms, except this one). The "breakfast" was on a floor below (basement?) the 1st floor rooms, so even more steps. The breakfast was very lacking and offered very little in the way of food (bins were empty, etc), to include NO COFFEE because, the coffee maker was broken. The staff kindly provided me with several coffee packets to make coffee in our room, except that the pot in the room produced hot water with a lot of white pieces of God only knows what floating around. It was gross. I ran the room pot twice with just water to see if the white pieces would clear. Nope. Remained disgusting. So, we packed up and went into town to buy breakfast and have coffee. This cost us extra time and money. The room itself was ok, a bit worn/dated. The beds were decently comfortable. Being a platinum member, I asked about the 'free gift' of either points or drink/snack. Despite a sign at the desk stating I would get one or the other, the staff had no idea what I was talking about. Upon asking the morning staff person, she produced a bag with some odd items in it. The bag was dirty and most of it was 'junk' like little cheap plastic items that are useless... I'd say mostly kids stuff like a tiny plastic whistle and tiny, flimsy plastic comb, etc. Anyhow, I wouldn't stay here again.

Our door lock didn’t work. We had to ask for help to get in our room several times. We waited in the lobby for along time to get back into the room. The man at the front desk was rude when we woke him up to let us in.

Great staff and clean.
