This is a delightful hotel, with lovely helpful staff. It’s not state of the art modern, but clean and comfortable and the river views are beautiful. The choice at breakfast was not great but adequate, and evening meals were not amazing but fine. Potatoes came as fried every night if it wasn’t pasta or rice, but I like fried potatoes so it was fine for me. I was with a group of thirty and the meals came out quite swiftly although the staff level seemed quite low. The barman was great. All in all, a lovely stay in a lovely friendly hotel.

We were staying at the nearby campsite and booked a table for eight on Sunday 20th Aug as a final meal before our son and family flew home the next day. The weather was unusually hot, upper 30's. On arrival there was a notice saying the restaurant was closed due to the extreme heat. Whilst disappointed reading the notice it was quite understandable. We were going to go but the door was opened and we were beckoned inside. They catered for us solely as we had prebooked and had been a few times before. This service was outstanding, food perfect, and we can't recommend this restaurant and staff enough. We will definitely book a few meals there again next year. The food and service is second to none.

I recently stayed in this hotel whilst on a package tour of the Dordogne. It is beautifully situated, right along the riverside with lovely views from our tiny balcony. It was an ideal base in this small market town for touring the Dordogne. The food was very good, the rooms clean, if a little dated and the staff were very helpful and friendly. overall I enjoyed the 5 nights that we spent there.

We stayed for 5 nights on a Rail Discoveries tour and had a really enjoyable stay. Decor is a bit dated but lovely size room overlooking the beautiful river scenery (beware the midges at night and close the patio windows and use the fan provided). Nice bathroom with walk in shower and everywhere lovely and clean. Nice terrace seating area overlloking the river. Bar staff, reception and dining room staff were all really friendly, pleasent and efficient. Good choice at breakfast and as part of our package 4 nights of dinner with 3 courses and all our party really enjoyed the food. Would definately stay again. (If you have a free day get a town map from the tourist information office and follow the town trail＞ About 1 hour easy walking and they can provide you with an English traslation).

Room pleasant and clean but needs attention to paintwork. Breakfast adequate. Dinner appalling, cold plates, cold food that should be hot. Little choice and only 1 vegetable (potato) generally fried. The whole place is tired and doesn’t look enticing, scruffy outside paintwork and weeds. Flower pots with weeds and fag ends. Location okay with good view of river, many restaurants closed.

Nous avons passé une nuit agréable dans cet établissement ,chambre spacieuse et très propre . Ce type de chambre pourrait disposer d'un grand écran TV , et un café d'accueil serait le bienvenu. L'hôtel est vieillissant et mériterait un rafraichissement des revêtements, sol et murs. A noter que le personnel est absolument charmant!

En visite dans le Perigord, nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. On nous a demandé à notre arrivée si nous voulions payer la totalité du séjour, nous, avons accepté. Au moment de la douche, cheveux et poils dans le bac, montré au responsable de l'hôtel. Pas de clim. Un petit ventilateur qui évidemment fait du bruit la nuit. Devant notre mécontentement, on nous a "surclassé". Ménage non fait 0ENDANT 2 JOURS ET SERVIETTES DE TOILETTE NON CHANGÉES. Problème de personnel. Hors, le client n'est pas responsable !!! Petit déjeuner miteux pour un 3 ÉTOILES. Coquille vide. Entrée 3 Étoiles, services FORMULE 1 et encore... Formule 1 le ménage est fait. 78€ la chambre + 9,80 petit déj, c'est du vol. On n'est pas contre le tarif. Nous sommes habitués à voyager, et à aller à l'hôtel nous payons le juste prix normal. Mais là le service est TRÈS LOIN D'UN 3 ÉTOILES. FUYEZ FUYEZ !!!!

We live in the area, the hotel tends to be closed more than it is open - but this evening we went to the hotel for drinks before dinner, hoping to sit on the balcony. We entered the bar and asked the barman for drinks on the balcony, as we have done on a few occasions in the past. We were told no, that the bar is for hotel guests only. This review is for the owners of the hotel, to let you know your barman is turning away business.
