We stayed at the Palais de Chine twice - one night before a 5 day tour and 3 nights after. We had a Superior King room on both occasions that was at a corner so we had windows on two sides. We could sit in the circular bath and look out over Taipei Main Station! We managed to leave a couple of items behind after out first stay but the hotel was able to return them to us when we stayed the second time. We found all staff members to be friendly and helpful. 
Note it takes a good 10 minutes to walk through the shopping centre maze to get to / from the MRT to the airport.

I booked two lake-view rooms at the Fleur De Chine Hotel on June 7th and had a wonderful stay. The views were stunning, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. A truly relaxing experience—highly recommended for anyone visiting Sun Moon Lake.  I would return for Sure for more activities and longer stay 👍👍👍😁

The hotel is slightly away from yilan, but the charming and quiet neighbourhood more than makes up for that. They are many beautiful parks and activities located around (dolphin watching, farms, hot springs). The hotel also provides night snacks for guests to enjoy and mingle. We also spied at the information counter vouchers to the nearby milksha!! 

Additionally, the hotel is v family friendly, as there is a games room (arcade games like basketball and air hockey, ps4 and switch!) and a library for guests to enjoy. There are also DIY acitvities for guests to sign up for. Lastly, there is a hot bath in every room for all guests to enjoy. Slippers are also provided. Very happy with our stay here!!
